I use this for long-term storage of video files and some pics. Set up a super simple, but I am also not using any security protecting passwords or anything like that I also use the factory format of the drive, but you do have the option to format it depending on the device you will use it on mostly I will update this in a year or so as I only have written to this drive 20-30 times so far. It is pretty quick with the right USB port and I also used it on an older USB port and did pretty wellIt may get a little warm when you write to it with anything over 8gb but nothing abnormal

The device is visually smaller than it seems in the picture. Pretty, rubberized. Works quickly. Heats up adequately (it worked for 5 hours in constant read-write mode and heated up slightly). The software from Samsung does not raise any questions - everything is as simple. The kit includes 2 cables: for USB-A and USB-C. I highly recommend this SSD.
