The product itself appears promising but it will most likely be a number of months of trail and error and learning before I will truly be able to tell if I made the right choice.Although not difficult to set up, I'd describe the instructions that came with it as lacking. On the good side there is an active creator community that you can look up the answer to pretty much any problem. I suspect it's because so many encountered the exact same difficulties.The exhaust hose is just sufficient length to reach a filter or purification system, sold separately, not long enough to reach a window (unless you are set up directly under/in front of one. Any use with wood will require filtering or exhaust outdoorrs.Use with a laptop and cable connection will avoid possible wireless connectivity issues. My wifi operates both 2.4 and 5ghz. I had to set up a separate 2.4ghz dedicated channel as S1 would not communicate with my original wifi set up. Easy enough for myself to do but others may encounter difficulties.So far, not a fan of the XTool Tutorials and help. Like mentioned before, many creators post online so if you don't mind some time in front of UTube, you should be able to manage.Am making progress with wood and cork. Slate still a challenge. If you are planning to communicate via phone or desktop, I'd problably advise looking into alternative products (unless you plan on keeping your desktop adjacent). My caveat is I only have a week under my belt but I found many headaches disappear when I rely on the laptop.I see Promise and Potential and maybe I'll change my tune in a few months, but I probably wouldn't recommend to many as their first machine.

Laser works well and included software is good.Customer support was quick to respond to my concerns about the riser base in this particular package.
