I have always used a hand held shark for years. I just loved it. Now I’m older I needed something else so I purchased this. I wanted to use it for a little bit before posting a review, and this is awesome. Not only do I get a handheld vacuum but I can use the long hand vacuum also for more. It is quiet, lite weight and easy to clean. I purchased the extra battery for a just in case but have not had to use it yet. The area’s I clean is fairly big and I still have enough battery life left to use for my up stairs. I’m so not used to change and love to do my own thing on taking apart and cleaning my vacuum. This is so easy to clean it’s not funny. For the money it is well worth it.
I am thrilled with this vacuum. We almost bought a Dyson but after seeing the Tineco Pure One S11 was rated higher on Consumer Reports (actually the highest rated stick vacuum) we decided to give this a try. We actually purchased the new Bissel Crosswave MAX to do both sweeping and mopping at once and returned it because it honestly was not worth the money and did not get the floors that clean. Easy to put together. Easy to use, move around like a dream. One complaint, and a very minor one, is the locking feature is easily turned off by my thumb when using. It also does not stand on its own. I love that the battery is removable and the charging dock has space for an additional battery if one is purchased later. The docking station was easy to install. Would be nice if the charger detached from the docking station, as where we wanted to dock ti had no outlet but again, minor issue. We were shocked with how much fine dust and dog hair this vacuum picked up in such a short amount of time. We bought the Tango simply to get the additional soft roller, and it does a fantastic job. It does better than the included roller BUT the included roller still does a phenomenal job. The filter cleaner attachment is also really neat. The Tineco App sends reminded when filters need cleaned or replaced. So glad we have this vacuum instead of the Bissell or Dyson. You will not be disappointed!*update after 4 months*Still works like a dream and the ability to clean the filters is great. Still has great battery life and suction. No complaints!
My husband wanted to buy me a cordless vac so, as I always do for purchases over $100, I headed right to the Consumer Reports website to see if I should get a Shark or a Dyson. I was amazed to see that the 3 top rated vacuums were made by Tineco, a company I had never even heard of before. This model was the #1 rated, so I ordered it.Things I love about it: *I can vacuum the entire house on a fully charged battery *I can go from hardwoods to vinyl flooring to carpet without changing heads *Pushing the MAX button bumps the suction up enough to deep clean carpets *The Pet Hair attachment really gets the cat hair off the couch *It's so maneuverable I can clean under beds and other furniture with ease *With the extension wand and crevice tool I can reach the ceiling fans even though I have 9 1/2 ft. ceilings and I'm 5'4" tall. *The blue lit circle turns red when I hit a spot in the carpet that's really dirty, and back to blue after it's fully clean. I can pick up dirt I can't even see! *The cleaning system for the primary filter is brilliant! I can always start with a clean oneThe thing I less than love about it: *Even though it's light weight, I found my wrist began hurting after about 2 weeks of daily use. I realized it was because I had been twisting my wrist in new ways whenever I vacuumed. My solution was to purchase a Copperfit wrist brace that I wear while I use it. And NO, it's not enough of a problem to make me stop using the vacuum everyday.
This is my first stick vacuum. Before this I had a Hoover Platinum Upright -- I call that the "King of Vacuums". However, with the whole Covid, it's in storage and we are temporarily living elsewhere in a good-sized apartment whose floors are about evenly split between laminate and low-pile carpet. I looked for a vacuum that would meet our needs, but maybe not overlap with the Hoover so when the two are united, both might have a place in our home.Good choice. This vacuum is terrific.Pros:- Capably handles both carpet and laminate with no problems.- Very maneuverable (much more so than my upright), which is handy as the edge cleaning isn't fantastic -- I can quickly shift to using the front of the vacuum where it's better.- Very easy to shift between hand-held and stick. I found myself doing that last time I vacuumed -- quickly switching at the end to get some places in-between the furniture and the wall.- Power management -- this ramps up the speed when you are in areas where it finds more dirt. This sounded like a gimmick when I read about it, but in practice it's seemless and very effective, and I appreciate it given it helps with the balance between battery duration, vacuum cleaner weight, and suction power. Clever and well implemented.- I can see the dirt. Ok- I never thought I would like this, but it's actually very handy. Did that piece of cardboard I was uncertain about and vacuumed anyway make it up to the unit? Oh- there it is stuck around the brush, and oh there it just made it up to the hand-held portion. Will this handle that pistachio shell? Look, I can see it in the thing. This is really, really handy.Cons:- Light, but not light enough. I can very comfortably wield this at length, but I'm a big guy. My wife, on the other hand, is more petite of maybe average height. I asked her if we might just use this at our new place and her response was that she likes it and will use it, but it's too heavy to clean a house with. Somebody needs to figure out how to mount the battery nearer the floor to maybe shift the center of gravity- that's the winner.- The connectivity is gimmicky and not useful. I don't need a different app telling me it's time to vacuum, or that I need to empty the thing, etc. I can't see this being useful for anyone.- The thing can't stand on its own. You're vacuuming around -- oh, here, let's shift that chair. Oh- where do I prop this thing up awkwardly while I do that?- I wish there were a good option for not mounting.- It's kind of spendy, and I'm now not convinced the Tango model was worth it. This thing is as expensive as my Hoover Platinum upright, and while I called that the King of Vacuums, it's truly more like the Emperor.Anyway- bottom line is this: I like it and it meets our needs. The pros very much outweigh the cons in my situation, and the connectivity con is more like a feature nobody needs, where if I were to buy this again, I'd simply choose a less-expensive model without it (if that exists). In our new home this will handle stairs, spot cleaning, and single-room cleaning. The rest goes to the Emperor.
