Mattel Disney The Little Mermaid Vanessa Fashion Doll in Signature Purple Dress, Toys Inspired by The Movie

This doll is absolutely gorgeous and even prettier in person! I think Mattel did an amazing job on the face sculpt. Looks just like Jessica Alexander, the actress who plays her in the movie. The doll has your basic 5 points of articulation (head, both shoulders, and both hips) and is slightly shorter than your average Barbie. Her long brown hair is super soft and has a slight curl to it, and her vibrant purple dress is made of a soft cotton fabric with tulle used for the puff sleeves and layered skirt. The dress is also all one piece and closes at the back with velcro. The corset, while having some nice stitched detailing, is painted on and does not continue around the back of the dress. For those interested in giving Vanessa a Made-to-Move body, the Purple Top is a good match for her skintone!

Mattel has done an amazing job with the little mermaid live action dolls! And this Vanessa doll is simply stunning! She has the very basic play line articulation but that’s ok.Dress is beautiful and well made and actually a great materiel, it’s not papery or cheap feeling and her hair is soo soft! Her face is a little pixelated but it isn’t too bad or too noticiable!Highly recommend this Vanessa doll!

I didn't even get her for movie reasons, I saw her face and was in love. I head swapped her onto a Made-to-Move Barbie body (the lightest skin color ones, like the 2023 tennis player, are a perfect match) immediately. The doll comes with a basic Disney doll body which is a little slimmer and smaller proportions than Barbie, except for the feet), but her head is perfectly Barbie proportioned. She can't fit her dress anymore, but it will fit on petite Barbies if it's any consolation.

The face sculpt is a brand new one in the likeness of Jessica Alexander. She is absolutely beautiful!My photo depicts her hair AFTER I restyled it(the hair out of the box was atrocious). She has a dark brown saran that falls to her waist.Vanessa’s dress is a beautiful dark purple color. The sleeves are hemmed, but the bottom of the skirt isn’t. The corset part is printed, which is slightly disappointing because it would’ve looked nicer if it was stitched. The print on mine isn’t centered properly. The skirt has two layers: a satin-like material and an over-layer of tulle. The sleeves are delightfully large.The shoes are simple black heels.Her shell necklace is simple but accurate to the movie. It has a black “chain” and a gold shell.This doll has the basic 5 points of articulation: head, shoulders, and hips.Great doll for a low price! She's absolutely stunning!!!
