I use two monitors at work and wanted to find a good laptop stand to replace the clunky option offered by my company, which made it hard to type on because of its flat platform. Plus, I wanted to find a gold laptop stand to complement my office's pink and gold decor! ;) So I came upon this option and ordered it as well as a similar gold stand from another company. The elago stand was the clear winner because it offered more stability, plus I loved that it was an exact color match for my iPhone 6. I also like the streamlined look and how it takes up less real estate on my desk than what I was using before.Perhaps I'm a newbie to all these tech gadgets, but one thing I don't understand is the function of the holes in the back. I tried running my laptop cables through them but it seemed to force the cables in a weird, constrained position. But that's a minor detail and doesn't take away from my liking this product a lot. I highly recommend this laptop stand for both style and function!

Elegant, sturdy, easy to transport, perfect height. I use it daily with a 15" Mac laptop and love it. The extra height has helped a lot with the neck problems I was having before from looking down at a laptop for hours on end. The little rubber grips keep everything steady. At least once a week a stranger asks me where I got it (I work in coffee shops a lot). There are other (and cheaper) laptop stands out there but they're for the most part pretty ugly and unwieldy. I realize looks aren't everything, but since I use it so much I'd rather look at something pleasant or at least unobtrusive. This silver aluminum stand is really beautifully designed and worth every penny. I'm sure I'll have it for many years.

At first, I didn't like this stand. It wasn't really the right height to match my monitor setup, so I was looking all in the wrong places to drag and drop side by side. Eventually, I set it aside. Once I set up a true dual monitor with my MacMini, I tried it again to have my 13" Macbook Pro (2011) on the side. There's some discomfort in the angle of the keyboard for longer spans of typing, but otherwise it works great. I actually use it now for the laptop to sit while I hold video conference calls or online webinars. Other times I keep a laptop there running my business VOIP software so that it doesn't get bogged down by other apps running on my system. Now it's just part of the daily grind, and beautifully designed at that!***UPDATE TWO YEARS LATER*** I still love this stand today. In addition to the things I originally put in the review, I stream my Xfinity TV to it, so it acts as a small TV on the side of my main setup. I use it with my 2012 MBP 13", 2013 MBA 13", and a 14" ThinkPad T Series. All of them are pretty darn good on it.ONE PROBLEM: The only issue that I've encountered is the rubber part that runs across the bottom where the laptop sits. It's lost the adhesive and starts to come off whenever it feels like it. I can probably just gator glue it back in place, but otherwise everything still as it should be.
