Found easy to assemble, very sturdy, excellent material on the workmanship and handsome to boot. Don’t forget to purchase the wooden 4x4 post to mount under the mailbox into the ground.

This sturdy heavy duty plastic mailbox was very easy and quick to assemble with the easy instructions and just 6 screws. It fit right over our existing 4x4 post and the stick-on numbers were included. And yes, it looks like a huge bird house, yet it looks great on our country road. Our last plastic mailbox lasted 20 yrs, and I expect this mailbox to last a good long time as well. A good value for the price.

Being a bit of a traditionalist, I really tried to dislike this mailbox. We needed a new one, my wife liked the look, the features, and the price of this one, so... The half of me that is part cheap bastard and part stubborn old fool, lost out to the half that likes to keep the wife happy, and we ordered the Simplay3 Classic Plastic Residential Mailbox & Post Mount Combo Kit with 2 Access Doors in black. It arrived quickly and undamaged. The instructions were clear and easy to comprehend. I purchased a 4x4 post and put it up the next day. Depending upon your location, I strongly suggest you make sure to plant it deep enough. Here in Maine, we get relatively deep frost in the ground which will heave it if you do not go at least 3 or 4 feet deep. I planted mine 5 feet down. After a few months of Maine's typical winter weather, it miraculously avoided the snowplow and emerged into spring looking and working like new. I now appreciate the black color which probably helped the plow operator see it, and I like the back door which allows me to fetch the mail without stepping into traffic. I have even become fond of the non-traditional style. The magnetic latches on the doors work flawlessly. I don't have to worry about the rain getting inside and soaking the envelopes. Because it is made of some kind of polymer, there is no chance it will rust out like my old one.In short, this is a great choice for a mailbox. It is inexpensive, ruggedly constructed, easily installed, and works very well. If somehow it manages to get destroyed by the snowplow over the the next few years, I will certainly buy it again. The "Simplay3" deserves the 5 star rating. As always, I will return to update this review if and when my opinion changes.
