I have fine, high porosity, 3A curls with a few 2C strands. My hair has enough moisture, it isn't dry, but I thought it needed some kind of protein treatment to get rid of the frizz and hold the curls for longer.The tub doesn't come sealed, but mine came in perfect condition. Yes, this is the original product, if you look at the seller you will see this comes from the verified Shea Moisture on Amazon.The consistent is very thick, kind of solid. You have to spread the mask a little bit between your fingers, so it coats your hair evenly. It only takes a minute, so that's not a problem. I was surprised to see the consistency, I was expecting to be to your average runny hair mask. It wasn't hard to wash it off.This mask is heavily fragranced and I don't think it smells like yogurt and honey. It's perhaps slightly floral/generic perfume type of scent, with the faintest hint of honey. If you're sensitive to smells I'd skip this mask because you need to leave it on your hair for 10 to 15 minutes and it can be overpowering. But it doesn't smell bad, just strong.I put this on my hair for 15 minutes and I was bothered by the strong scent. However my husband couldn't even smell anything and he was sitting in the same room, so maybe it's just me! Most of the scent disappeared after I washed my hair, it smells slightly perfumed. :-)As soon as I washed my hair I could tell my curls already seemed to hold better and a little tighter. Like I said, my hair wasn't really dry before I tried this so I can't say much regarding moisture, but if you need protein, this is a good option. The difference wasn't AMAZING after a single use, but it was definitely there and I'm happy with the result.The only problem is that my hair feels a bit oily... Not enough to look dirty, but a little oily nonetheless. That is really unusual for me so I know it's this product. Maybe I will use less next time I do this treatment. I saw another recomment saying their hair doesn't feel greasy with this, so maybe it's just because my hair strands are really fine.I've only used the mask one time, so if I notice any big changes in the next few weeks I'll update this review. As of right now I give it 4 stars.UPDATE: I've used this product 3 times now and I definitely think it has made a difference to the overall health of my curls. They are tighter looking. But I need to do this treatment a couple times a month to keep the look going. Of course your hair might be completely different so do what works for you! Hope my review was helpful.

OMG! This hair mask literally rescued my hair!My hair is extremely processed. Bleached a few times with some fried parts. I could NEVER let it air dry. It'd turn into a huge puffy mess, super frizzy. Today I received the package, opened the mask (smells great) and decided to use it right away. I used way more than was told in the instruction. Completely covered the damaged parts, BUT I fell asleep and it stayed on my hair for a few hours (I think that was very important in the result I got). When I washed my hair, it felt so soft even without conditioner.Fast forward, I let my hair air dry and the frizz was almost gone! My hair feels so soft, smells nice and is not puffy and frizzy as much as before! It's just a normal amount of frizz that my hair used to get when it was virgin!100% recommend. And let it stay longer than 15 mins!

I received this product unsealed but I can tell from the texture of my hair after using it that it is the real deal. I have curly bleached hair that I have further damaged using blue shampoos and heat. I am a 3b curly hair and my curls have recently become extremely dry and brittle. I purchased this after reading some good reviews. I applied it on my lightly damp hair (root to end) before shower, covered with a shower cap, and left it on for two hours. I applied some medium heat on the shower cap using the blowdrier twice. Then went into the shower and rinsed it. I did not shampoo or use any other products on my hair. My hair was extremely soft and moisturized after getting out of the shower. My ends were no more dry or brittle. My curls were bouncy, defined and not fuzzy anymore. Even my hands felt very soft and moisturized affter applying this cream! Lol! It has certainly made a huge difference in my hair after just one use. I plan on using it regularly and frequently. I absolutely recommend it!

This product works great for my curly and once dry hair! Before using the product my hair had been quite dry and it cause my curls to be frizzy and dull looking. after using this product once a week (sometimes 2-3 if I have the free time) for a month it has brought shine back to my hair and has helped a lot with fizziness. It applies very easily and rinses out very easily aswell without leaving a greasy residue. The scent is very light but pleasant and it leaves my hair feeling soft to the touch and with a healthy shine after rinsing and drying!
