Decided to finally buy some crypto after years of listening to experts who said it had no real asset behind it and shouldn't be speculated in! Figured it might be a good time since the crypto market crashed. Guess buy some crypto, store it with this device, and wait to see what happens! I have a time horizon of about 10-15 years and if that runs out without getting a good return pass it to the grandkids and they can try their luck!Read a bit about this and the crypto experts say you need an offline cold storage device like this one. There seems to be some debate about whether ledger is truly secure since they added an online recovery option. But I've opted not to use that. Most said it was ok to buy a ledger from Amazon but make sure it was through ledger store. Make sure it is sealed when you get it then reset the device for good measure! And whatever you do make sure the 24 word recovery is stored safely because without it you can lose access to your crypto and with it anyone can access it. The device was fairly easy to to get setup as long as you take your time doing it. Seems to be fairly easy to move crypto off the exchange and onto the ledger wallet. Hopefully now so long as I don't so anything to compromise security my crypto can stay safe in the cold wallet while I execute my buy and hold as long as it takes strategy!

Real easy to setup. If you have a type c to type c cable you can connect the ledger with your phone and use the ledger app to complete the process. No more than 15 to 20 minutes to setup.Comes with the ledger, keychain, type a to c cable, papers to write your seed, and some other non-needed papers.It's small, slightly bigger the a AA battery. Around the size of a lighter. Very pocketable and doesnt take much space.Screen is very easy to see in the light or dark. Has 3 brightness settings.Cannot be connected through bluetooth like the latest model, but the differences between both are minor. Really good price.Has multiple cryptos to choose from. You can choose which coins to install on your ledger. Easy to uninstall them as well. Works as a password manager and for 2fa too.
