I'll preface the review by saying I went from a flat screen 27" 75hz, 1080p screen to this one, so that is my basis for comparison. This is my first curved screen monitor as well, as I was looking for a more immersive gaming experience, and looking for a monitor to match the abilities of my new, more powerful PC.I have the monitor hooked to my video card using the display port connection (cable not included), as this provides the highest available settings. The monitor comes with an HDMI cable that I saved for future use if needed. Set up was a breeze, the base went together with one screw. The base does take up a fairly big blueprint on the desk, so if your desk size is limited, I'd suggest a wall mount or desk monitor mount. I may do this in the future, but this works fine for now.There isn't a height adjustment for this monitor, but that hasn't been an issue so far. The tilt adjustment, which was definitely needed, isn't very intuitive, and it's tight enough to feel like I was going to break something if I forced it. But it eventually moved and works fine - there are some other complaints about this online and even some videos on it, but mine adjusted once I put enough steady pressure on it.The menus are simple and intuitive. Now for the good stuff - my games look amazing in 1440p and 165hz. But keep in mind you will need a video card capable of producing that resolution and frames per second, which is why I upgraded to this monitor in the first place. It's also a good idea to match the in game resolution settings with your monitor settings for best results. The only downside I have seen so far is that there is a fair amount of glare when the screen is off, even in a dark(ish) room. It hasn't been an issue while playing games yet, but it's something to be aware of.BOTTOM LINE: This is a great monitor for gaming at this price point (~$350). Sure it probably won't compete with a $1,000 4K monitor, but if you're looking for a great monitor for gaming or production work that doesn't break the bank, this is a great choice.

First, I ordered an 'acceptable' warehouse deals. It had been dropped, and about a half inch of plastic corner broke off 😞 However, it functions perfectly. I think it looks better in SDR vs HDR, but that could be a tuning issue. At $350 I'd look elsewhere, but at $169 it's a screaming deal.BTW, I don't notice the missing corner.165hz is great for games in 1440, I like the fast response. No issues with smearing. Last thoughts, it could be a bit more color saturated. I can change the temp, but not access gamma controls. Color could be a tuning issue. It's still good, just not GREAT.

I had a G5 early model back when it was a 32" monitor. Loved it, the size was perfect and it was just the best for gaming and music production. Lots of space. However, human nature has to ruin everything. As embarrassing as it is to admit, one night I got killed in a way that sent me just a little bit too much and I punched probably the most expensive option that I had, the monitor. Completely broke it in multiple ways, the only part of the monitor that worked was the lowest left corner. Great. Just broke my $350 monitor. OK, let's check Amazon and just get another one. $550????? I didn't feel too good about my emotions at that point but hey, work was good and it looked like they upped the size and hz from the previous G5. Boy did they ever. This thing is incredible. The curve and size might be a little to adjust to but once you game on this thing you'll never feel normal playing anything on a flat monitor. It's so much smoother (165hz vs 144), it fills your entire vision, it's just the ultimate experience for anything, from Counter Strike to Forza. Don't even bother to check BenQ, just do yourself a favor and buy this. Samsung killed it with the 32" but knocked it out of the PARK with the 34.

Overall I'm a lot happier with this than an old 4k tv from walmart. Only complaints I have were the lackluster HDR, which I expected only being HDR10, and the color, which was a super easy fix. I just changed was color, I changed it to Cool 2 and set blue to 70 and it looks perfect now. No dead pixels or cracks to speak of, just some scratches on the frame from being a clutz installing it.Unlike what the other reviews say, the power LED can be turned off while the monitor is off, by going into system and scrolling all the way down, it shows "Power LED On", and set it to "Working," this will let the LED turn off while the monitor is off. Great for someone who has their computer in their room and likes it nice and dark while they sleep.Going from 60hz to 165 was a massive difference for me, it felt like the image was clearer sooner after moving. The curve isn't too much, but 1500r would have been nice. I haven't used it for any FPS games, because I have this installed on a monitor arm on my sim racing rig, but I imagine the experience would be great.As for racing, I think 21:9 is better as it's a more efficient use of screen space. How often do you look at the roof and dashboard of your car while driving? I don't look much personally, so I thought I would get rid of the unused space and get my monitor closer to the top of the wheel so it feels more immersive, but also keep a wider FOV to see more on the track.I bought this because it ticked all of my boxes; ultrawide, >100 PPI, IPS, >144hz, 1ms response time, and a nice curve. I would say if you can get it under $400 to go and snag one.

I'll do my best to make everything clear.Starting with this monitor support 165 hrz and QHD so if you want to see a monitor with the best image quality like 4k this is not the option, for me I rather go for more smooth on games so I like this monitor because it's great on that aspect and if you don't want to spend a lot on a monitor this it's a great idea and more if it is on discount, I have the odessey g5 32 inches and 165 hrz and QHD so this monitor it's big if you are not use to monitors or if you used to have 27 inches monitors this is a big monitor and it's curved screens it's amazing, make you look like weird at fort bit once you are used to you would love it and you won't notice that it curved.If you have a great PC and you are looking for a monitor I won't recomend you this exact item because there are a lot of best options and you should have to buy a expensiver monitor for this situation, because hdr 19 in this monitor it's weak, it's brightness make it usless and also if you have a room with a lot of extern light it's kind of tough because of it's low nits of brightness, but if you have a console like me it a great opcion because you don't need a lot for it, you can play at 120 hrz and 1440p and I were used to TV so this it's a huge noticeable change.I would recommend this monitor just if you are on those situation and more if it's on discount, love it.

Like the title says, this should be a 5* but speakers are dead. I don’t use the monitor speakers but they should work and I had to take a star away for that.Overall: The G5 27” is. fantastic deal on a top contender for its price class. 2560x1440 @ 165Hz via DP cable, and 144Hz via HDMI cable.The feature I love most about this monitor (and my last Samsung) is the 1000R curve. After using this curve for a few years, I can tell you first hand that the difference in eye strain using this monitor is considerably less for me than flat screens and even other curved monitors. Samsung produces the most models with the 1000R curve as far as I am aware.Colors are great, blacks are really good. Games have great depth in the environments and they look so realistic, it’s like a movie in some games it’s so smooth. I’m using a RTX4070 8GB to drive this one which helps with texture quality but it’s still the monitor creating the visual. .The menu shstem is pictured. It’s all done in Samsung fashion with a single push to open menu/select option, with joystick navigation Simply pulling “forward” on the joystick opens the volume adjustment slider for easy volume changes, and pull twice to mute feature. Once you get the hang of it, It’s simple to operate.I’d recommend it if this is your budget for a monitor. I bought one and put the other on layaway. I wanted to teat this one before getting them both.

Perfect deal for the price. Semi-premium range monitor. It works perfectly with DP cable at 165hz, but if you are using HDMI, it will work at 144Hz. 75mm Vesa mount, which fits perfectly with most of the mounts available. It ships from Canada, so a Canadian warranty applies. The package and un-boxing is not that fancy but the monitor is !!! The curvature is perfect once you get used to it!
