In some regards the mop is good, but there are several design flaws. The changeable mop head often fails to remain affixed to the mop and can occasionally come off during use. Ironically it can also be difficult to remove and replace. The mechanism is good in that the lever enables one to mop up and squeeze out water easily. However, again there is a flaw in the design in that the mop is not robust. The first mop gave up after the mechanism became twisted and broke. In two subsequent purchases the pins holding the jointed sections together have become loose and slide out resulting in the mop coming apart.I like this type of mop, but will be looking for another brand when replacing. Would have expected better construction for the price.

Prior to buying the Addis Superdry Plus Mop, I owned a cheaper version of the similar one sold by JML - bought for around a fiver from Wilkinsons. That mop did a reasonable job but took forever to soften prior to use and eventually the telescopic handle failed meaning I could not use it with the pole extended. As Wilkinsons don't appear to sell these mops any longer, I was going to replace it with the JML mop, however, I then discovered the Addis Superdry Plus Mop and bought that instead (I wouldn't even have considered the Addis plain sponge "Superdry" mop - I have one of those in the garden which I thought might possibly be useful for painting the deck or something as it was no good whatsoever for cleaning floors and incidentally Addis, why have you given two totally different products almost identical names - not confusing in the least that!)In any event, back to the actual review - the Addis Plus mop is a world of difference to my old Wilko mop - for a start it seems to be far sturdier, the sponge head softens a lot quicker meaning it's ready to go in a couple of minutes and it's angled making it far, far easier to use. As a bonus it also does a pretty good job of actually cleaning the floor - and it does it quickly, leaving it almost dry in the process. I had been considering buying a steam mop for floors but this is so good I don't think I will bother now.I can't comment or compare it to the JML mop as I've never actually used a real one but I can thoroughly recommend the Addis Plus Mop and if it does ever break I will get another one.

These mops are very good for cleaning the floor. They are absorbent so soak up any excess water.
