Wanted to avoid another glass French press. Last one I had didn’t end well. This allows me to brew 2 cups of fresh ground beans and keeps the second cup worth warm while I enjoy the first.

I absolutely love this cafetiere. It makes a solid 2 large mugs of perfect coffee with no grounds -- and I grind mine quite fine. It keeps the coffee warmer than plastic or glass models, is easy to clean, well made, and looks fetchingly stylish sitting on my desk at work. Highly recommended.

Will only make enough coffee for me. (I only drink the 20-24 oz it makes)So, I can't complaint for me, but if you need to make for more than yourself, get a bigger one. Makes great coffee. Very happy with purchase because my last two were glass and broke. This is pretty indestructible as its Stainless steel.

Perfectly brewed coffee.Another great feature of this French press is how easy it is to maintain. The stainless steel parts can be easily washed. I haven't experienced any rusting or discoloration with the steel parts, which is a huge plus.One thing that sets this French press apart from others I've used is how well it keeps the temperature of the coffee while it's brewing. I've noticed that with other presses, the coffee can cool down quickly, but with this one, it stays hot for a while.I have to mention the price - this French press is definitely worth the investment. Better than glass... simple to use, well-constructed, sturdy, unbreakable, insulated to help maintain temperature while brewing, easy to clean, looks nice. No complaints... using a medium grind and makes excellent coffee! Highly recommended coffee press, and the price can't be beat.My method is to first fill the carafe with hot water to get it hot. Then I measure the correct amount of water into a kettle and bring it to a boil. While the water is coming to a boil, I grind the beans. (medium grind works well in this press) After the water boils, I set it aside for 30 seconds and pour out the water that is warming the carafe and measure and add the correct amount of coffee. Next I add the hot water from the kettle to the ground coffee and stir for 1 minute with a wooden spoon, then install the filter and cover at the top of the press and let the coffee brew for 4 - 5 minutes. Finally, when time is up, press the plunger down slowly all the way to the bottom, and the coffee is ready.
