For the money it's a decent headset, the star feature of this headset is its broadcast quality mic, which is possibly the best headset mic on the market, my gaming friends couldn't believe how good i sounded in comparison to my previous headset. The sound is good and controls are good, the EQ presets for gaming are great and really do make a difference. However, I don't think the wireless dongle is as good as the rest of the headset as every now and again there is a breakdown in sound like being on a phone with a bad signal, doesn't last long but it is annoying especially when my last headset performed faultlessly. The comfort is good, possibly as comfortable as my steelseries which I feel are one of the comfiest headsets around. Wish there was a light on end of mic to indicate if turned off etc like the steel series has but on the whole its a good headset.Hoping they sort the dongle issue out with a firmware update?

Starting off with a strong title which I do stick by, these are so far the best headset I have used to date, and I by no means have used a lot but I’ve been through a few pairs through the years, such as Razer, Logitech G735, Arctis Nova 3 and one or two other.When I was finding my latest pair, I was looking for all rounders but mostly ones which have a really good microphone, and in regards to that… these are hands down the best, I prefer not using a dedicated microphone on my desk so this headset is perfect. The mic is clear, not too bass heavy and you have a lot of control over the enhancement on it too.Along with that, the sound quality is really good too and they are great for gaming, music and movies with no complaints at all in those aspects. The sound presets are decent and the button to quickly switch between presets is amazing too along with switching to a custom one you can make.Battery life is great and I only charge them about every 3 weeks but that of course depends on how much you use them, but for me I don’t use them all the time as I prefer my speakers. They don’t take too long to charge and they don’t get in the way even if you charge them, and you are able to use them and charge at the same time.The ONLY COMPLAINT I have is the earpads are pretty bad and super annoying, the depth on them is not enough and your ears will touch the inside, they are not padded enough, they also irritate my beard, not sure about other people. Plus if you get the white ones they will get dirty super quick… and when that happens there isn’t much you can do. Which is why I switched over to Wicked Cushions as soon as they released the 2023 Blackshark version.Overall this is a SOLID headset and I so recommend getting them, they are a perfect all rounder and you will not be disappointed.

Before settling for the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 wireless I tried the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro and Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro, both retailing for a little either side of £300, I’ve also previously owned the Steelseries Arctis 9, Astro A40, Logitech G Pro X and the older wired Blackshark V2’s, this headset is up there with the best of them. The sound profile is excellent, base is prominent whilst not overpowering, you can easily switch between standard and custom EQ’s or switch between pre-defined game EQ’s all easily changeable through a button on the headset. They’re loud enough, sound great for music and Spatial Audio for gunshots is superb, you’ll have no issue knowing where the enemy is. To get the most out of the headset it’s worth connecting them to a computer using the Synapse 3 software to enable features such as sidetone/mic monitoring and bass enhancement, along with setting your custom EQ etc. I did this then now just use them in my PS5. In terms of looks, they’re quality, granted the Steelseries Nova Pros are imo the better looking if you’re thinking of wearing them out and about for music, but in terms of an out and out gaming headset, the helicopter pilot design holds up well, especially in the white. I’d personally like to see the mic be a little more adjustable, like the turtle beach stealth pro, flick it up out the way or even better, both the Steelseries retractable mic, not that it’s bad and it is detachable. Whilst it doesn’t have a changeable battery, battery life is incredible, I’ve had several few hour long sessions without the need to charge. It does have Bluetooth, and whilst its not simultaneous with game audio like the more expensive TB and SS, a quick double tap of the function button easily switches between game and BT. In terms of comfort, it’s exceptional, full over ear design that you can play with for hours without discomfort, never seems to get too toasty. Far more comfortable than the much more expensive TB’s which have a pinch to them. As far as the mic goes it’s as good as they come, feedback from multiple fellow gamers who’ve heard me on multiple headsets all vouch for that. This is definitely a key selling feature of this headset, if voice quality is on your priority list then you’ve found what you’re looking for. Wireless range is fine, I can get to the opposite corner of my house with solid brick walls before I lose signal. In summary they sound great whether gaming or for media, comfortable, great functionality and good customisation, but remember to get the most out of them use the PC! For the money you won’t be disappointed!!
