I thought that it wouldn't work but it works very well. It's a 2 step process but it's worth it, in my opinion. Your hair will be inky black! Just what I wanted. You first use a henna pack on your hair & the next day you use an indigo pack and believe me, your hair will be the blackest black. Plus it has great benefits for natural hair, it conditions and makes your hair really soft. But keep in my, it is a 2 step process. It won't work with just a single step, it must be a 2 step process. Henna first, then the next day indigo.

It does not turn your hair black. I have used a different brand organic indigo before and it did turn my hair black alteast for 15 days....after that gradually black color fades and underneath henna color gets exposed...but this brand was on sale so I thought I would give this a try...also I use indigo frequently so I purchased 3 bags...each time I used it did not give the intended result...I assumed maybe next time it would turn right...now the return window is closed and I am stuck with these bags...it just leaves a black dust like layer on top of my hair rather than staining blue...I tried both methods...indigo mixed with henna and also the second one which is applying henna one day and then indigo the very next day... one after the other...I don't use shampoo or conditioner while rinsing on the day of henna or indigo...only after 2 or 3 days I use shampoo...if it was a genuine indigo powder..it should have stained my hair...blue stain on brown henna stain should give almost black color...the pic attached is 2 days after indigo but before the first shampooing...it's already back to brown color...so after shampooing it would be orangish....it would look like I used just henna...no use of indigo...So much effort for nothing
Henna love
I mixed Henna with fresh lemon juice and filtered blended purified water with cloves previous afternoon, refrigerate at 11PM and apply next morning. Let mixture sit on hair for 1 hour. Grey hair turns bright light copper. Hair is soft. Next day, I mixed indigo with warm water previous night and apply next morning. Let mixture sit for 1 hour.White-copper hair turns dark copper.Next time I’ll use only lemon juice with or without cloves and mix henna at late night without refrigerate. I like the products.

I've always used indigo mixed with henna but this time around I wanted to do the the 2step method to see the color difference. The color did take amazingly and overall I'm happy. I did have to use some conditioner after rinsing it all out (not recommended) but if you feel like your poor hair needs it I honestly didn't see where using conditioner hurt or took any color out. Overall I'm very happy, just be aware of what you feel your hair needs after rinsing.

Got henna and indigo one too. Today I applied on my hair and it looks so nice. I will have to use just indigo again to cover up my whites. Today I did half henna and half of indigo. I mixed up with warm water and added one tablespoon of olive oil to avoid over drying my hair. My white got light brown color which is fine, so I’m going to do indigo powder after one month. Great product. Will be ordering more. Thank you!:)
