Update: After contacting Timetec, I decided not to follow their instructions to re-purchase from Amazon and then return substituting the defective SSD.Changed from 2 stars to 1 star, because nobody would feel right scamming Amazon? Actually, an Amazon chat rep said to go ahead, but it's too weird for me. (even though the world often works like this)-----Original post ------It worked until it became extremely slow at reading while giving occasional read errors (some files unrecoverable). While nothing I've lost is critical, it's a hassle to be recovering data and getting an RMA. This is reminder to automate your backups. Another lesson is to pay the money for better quality, or pay with time and annoyance later.TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 1TB also failed within a few months. So far, Silicon Power and WD products have never failed me.Will update after RMA. It should have a 3 year warranty. The support link from Amazon.ca is broken, but easy to figure out.
