I got both the product and the full-time (always on) install kit. I haven’t yet used the latter as my particular car makes it difficult to remove the A pillar cover (my problem). The unit itself is easy to install and worked pretty much right away. Don’t forget the micro SD card. I used one I had laying around the house. Don’t bother formatting the SD card by other means before installing as the device wants to reformat before use anyway. You will need a smart phone to interact with the unit with the ‘connect to device as a WiFi network’. It works well enough.. I just hate disconnecting from my normal WiFi, etc. Once you get that done, everything is easy. For the time being, we have the wire hanging down and plugged into a lighter (cord included). We have verified that we can get to videos using the smart phone, and the picture is decent enough. We have ‘hit the button’ to force the current video to the ‘save’ area just to play. All works as expected. Thankfully, we have not tested the feature where it will automatically save the file in a more permanent location if a collision is detected. This is my very first dash cam, and the price and functionality are better than I would have hoped. It is far easier than I would have feared. I don’t know why I waited so long to get one and I am very much considering getting a 2nd for the other car. I would consider this one, but again, I’m not really comparing it to anything else as this is my first dash cam. A great first dash cam. One other stupid note in my part (I don’t know what I was expecting) but, even if you have the camera hooked up to be on when you park, you have to be near the unit to download videos. So, if someone steals your car, or breaks in to steal the camera, you will never see the video. My guess is if someone breaks into the car, the dash cam would be one of the things they would steal… so, what’s the point of having it on in park mode? The camera can be removed from the mount easily (without messing with adhesive) and we are doing that when we park as we fear that seeing the dash cam in the car might give the bad guys a reason to break into our car.

It automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions and locks the current footage to prevent it from being overwritten. This gives me peace of mind knowing important evidence won’t be lost in case of an accident.Cons:App Connectivity Issues:Occasionally, I experience connectivity issues with the app. It sometimes takes a few attempts to connect the camera to my phone, which can be frustrating when I’m in a hurry.Limited Viewing Angle:The viewing angle is decent but not as wide as some other dash cams on the market. A wider angle would provide better coverage, especially on multi-lane roads.No Built-In GPS:The dash cam lacks built-in GPS functionality. It would be beneficial to have GPS coordinates embedded in the footage for more detailed evidence in case of an incident.Conclusion:The ARIFAYZ Dash Cam WiFi FHD 1080P Car Camera offers excellent value for its price. I run dash cams in all 3 of our vehicles to protect myself in the event of an accident. Decided to try this one in my work van. Wanted something small and not too noticeable. This was inexpensive and seems to work really good. It's smaller than any of the other cameras I've used. Hasn't fallen off the windshield yet in the Texas sun. Video quality is great, easy to use, and doesn't look out of place on the windshield. 10/10 would buy again!
