I enjoyed reading this book so much. It was my first time reading this author and I liked how it was a mafia story but the normal dark mafia. The FMC uses a wheelchair and I thought that was so refreshing to see in an arranged marriage mafia trope. Sweet romance between FMC and MMC. Great side characters. Would definitely recommend.

Emilia has done it again and made me fall in love with fictional characters. The ups and downs this book put me through was well worth it. There is the perfect amount of spice and a great plot. I chewed through this book in less than 24 hours and it’s because I couldn’t put it down. Sofiya and Matteo are the cutest grumpy X sunshine combo I’ve ever read and we can’t forget about the extraordinary Noodle, the service dog. Emilia always manages to make chronic illness seen in her books and writes it so accurately (source: I have a chronic illness) I hope this is a series because I don’t know if one book in this universe is enough. Highly recommend this book, even if mafia romance isn’t your thing. 10/10

This book was so precious. The disability rep was wonderfully done and the characters and their world were deep and rich and fantastic. Sofiya and Matteo were amazing. Their love was beautiful and the spice was spicing. It was refreshing to see consideration for a disability on page especially during the spicy scenes. There’s so much to love about this book. There’s overcoming trauma, found family, a sweet but also completely badass FMC, a possessive/obsessive MMC, suspense, drama and ultimately a beautiful love story. Will definitely be reading more from this author!

This came up on my feed randomly and I was instantly obsessed, and I pre-ordered it right away.This is a mafia romance with disability rep (the FMC has EDS). And the MMC is a total grump who becomes such a softie for his lady Sofiya. This book grabbed my attention from page 1 and kept me invested all throughout and I must give the author their flowers for this because if you know anything about me...it takes NOTHING for me to get distracted, put a book on hold, and/or DNF it. So thank you Emilia for writing something this captivating 🖤Character wise, such consise writing. The storytelling is wonderfully done. I was really surprised to see how the author gave us fluff and dark moments simultaneously. Like the romance is not dark at all, the MCs just have certain obstacles, it's mafia after all, so expect mafia shenanigans! Also the research done regarding EDS shows such dedication from the author and that stuff shows character in my opinion. Also this is the author's mafia debut, she has other works that are omegaverse.
