Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid, 1 Gallon, Red, 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

I just serviced my 2012 Nissan Juke CVT transmission with this fluid and the transmission is working wonderfully and very smooth. I was very skeptical whether or not I could initially use this fluid and I spent hours researching forums with everyone basically having a different opinion, and nissan says to use only NS2 fluid which is very expensive. Through the research I did, this fluid provides better wear protection over time and is indeed NS2 compatible and my Nissan Juke is performing very well with this fluid, the transmission is very smooth and responsive. The nissan CVT transmissions from the factory arent the best, my Juke has had transmission fluid changes over the life of the car about every 30k miles. I dropped 5 quarts and filled with fresh fluid, drove 500 miles and dropped and filled another 5 quarts to get as much of the old fluid out as possible.

Bought for my Nissan Frontier, works fine.

As for all of us, we all have our own stories to tell. My car has 80K on it and I've taken it to the dealer every 30k for the flush. Something happened during last years winter. The transmission was just shifting funny, no pickup, and then the whining sound started. Being its a $340 dollar drop taking it to the dealer to flush it.Talk about BS not having a transmission dipstick to check fluid level so it forces you taking it to the dealer. Here's a piece of info that is total BS i heard from the dealer. I'm paying them $340 dollars to suck the fluid out with a machine without even replacing the two filters inside the transmission. There's the main pan filter and there's another one that on the auxiliary cooler that goes to the radiator. Doesn't this make you wonder eventually the filters will get clogged up and cause the CVT to fail by overheating. I'm certainly no expert on this but I could be right on that one.Making a long story shorter. I told my mechanic about the issues and he said he would do the trans flush for $110. I bought the fluid and the filters. Boy, I tell you the car drives like new now. Shifts awesome and the car actually has balls again. This is definitely a good alternative to nissan NS3 fluid going for over $20 a quart.

I did a drain and fill on my 2010 Subaru Outback cvt. I was worried about using this stuff because there was little feedback for people filling Subaru CVT's with this product. Valvoline is over $10/ qt. I need about 6-7 quarts and it would have been very expensive to change my fluid. Everyone online recommended the overpriced oem stuff (usually expensive repackaging of cheaper stuff). This Castrol stuff worked fantastic even mixed with tye old stuff. My car drives very smooth and no odd behavior or sounds from the CVT. It's a good product at a fraction of the cost of other brands.

What a wonderful and great product and very affordable! I used to buy Honda automatic transmission fluid from the dealer or Amazon. It is very pricy but I think it is good for my 2001 Accord. Now the car is over 20 years old, I don't want to spend $11 a quart anymore so I tried Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid and the result is very good, but I still don't understand why this product can work both for ATF and CVT. I think I would not take the risk to put it in my 2018 Civic with CVT unless I can get more details. But I have good faith to put it in ATF and the car is running much better than the genuine product and save a lot of money!
