Hi, all I was replacing an aging Linksys VO system, which worked pretty well but I wanted something newer that could be more reliable a couple of things to note. I am using this with various Sonos products which can be finicky with other routers all of my TP linked devices are wired through a gigabit switch through a wired backhaul and all the software updates were complete, I found the range to be great though my house is 4200 ft.². I did get six noes for inside and outside.I’ve got 85 devices and everything is working well and the performance is a little bit better, but I’m confident the reliability will be better. Also, I believe with the features included with the TP link gives you plenty of information and allows you to optimize your channels for a great mesh network I would recommend this again for sure.

I needed something to replace my Starlink Router due to range limits. This Deco system was the perfect fit! It was very simple to setup and I really like the app that it comes with. The extra Decos automatically connect to the main one once you get the main one connected to ISP. They also work very well with the TP-Link Smart Home equipment, which I have many of.My only complaint is that each unit only has 1 2.5ghz ethernet so my input line from my ISP is using it and Im having to use a 1ghz output to connect to my computer so obviously Im not getting the best speeds that I could be.

The TP-Link Deco AXE4900 is a sleek, high-performance tri-band mesh Wi-Fi 6E system designed to deliver robust connectivity throughout your home. Setup is straightforward with the user-friendly Deco app, which guides you through installation and network management. The system offers impressive speeds of up to 4804 Mbps on the 6 GHz band, 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, ensuring smooth streaming, gaming, and browsing experiences even in large homes with multiple connected devices. In terms of coverage, the Deco AXE4900 excels with its mesh technology, covering up to 7,000 square feet with a three-pack system. The tri-band connectivity reduces congestion and interference, providing a stable connection throughout your home. Additional features include advanced parental controls, Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing bandwidth, and WPA3 encryption for enhanced security.

I'm an IT pro with experience deploying enterprise campus WiFi for hospitals and universities so that nurses, doctors, professors, and students can roam their campus gracefully, never losing connection. The previous tech in my house was five individually managed routers pushing 8-year-old, Gbps gaming WiFi routers that took time repetitively/manually selecting which SSID you wanted to connect to depending on what part of the house you were in; a giant PIA every year. So I chose these WiFi 6e mesh devices from TP-Link and am happy. While they need more depth of features vs. enterprise solutions, they are more than capable of any home use scenario. They allow family and guests to join one SSID and roam around without concern or repetitive manual choices about which SSID. The devices booted up and found each other, and the system worked. The iPad/iPhone app to control the system is very easy to use for anyone who is tech-savvy. It is simple enough that the average home user can read, follow instructions, and be productive quickly. The speeds of the WiFi are substantial. I was averaging 600Mbps from across the room on my laptop and iPad. And the range is impressive. I like the troubleshooting tools and auto-detection of conflicting WiFi channels to select those with less interference, which enables more robust performance. I added a smaller Deco unit to this pair. Three Deco devices have replaced five previous standalone devices. The third device joined the system in minutes and began accepting connections without a hitch. It's a terrific value, and I highly recommend this system.

What I like the most are the square ft. The bigger square ft are much better pickup wi fi. Make sure you have a carrier, if you don't, you won't have a Wi Fi at all. This unit will pickup wi fi 7200 square ft. Let me tell you, it doesn't lie to you. The best wi fi unit I've ever purchased. Internet is super fast and superior. I don't mind to pay the price. The most important part of this unit is the square feet.Setup? When you open the box with 3 units inside the box, grab the unit from the middle. Why? The middle is the main unit because you have to connect the telephone jack to this unit. If you grabbed the left or right unit, it will NOT work at all. It will turn into from blinking red to solid red. You Must grab the Middle unit, that's your main unit and it will turn solid blue. Like I said, when you open the box, grab the unit from the middle. I have learned my lesson grab the unit from the left , it doesn't work. It will light up from blinking red to solid red. They're all look the same but it's not setup the same. The apps is very easy setup and will walk you through it to setup. The price of this unit not too fond of it but it's worth it. It works great. If you know your square ft of your houe. I recommend the higher square ft of the router signal higher than your house square feet. Overall, I am very happy with this unit and I do highly recommend it if you willing to pay this much. I did. It's worth it.

These can go anywhere, but I recommend you PLUG them into an existing Ethernet network. This is to make wireless coverage seamless, not to simply avoid the wired network altogether, although you CAN do that.... just plug it in and let WiFi 6E connect the devices to each other. We haven't tried that because we don't have to.Some reviewers noted that the 802.11r routing protocol isn't as it should be. I can't say that for certain, but ... we have a LOT of interference on the 802.11N band... 2.4Ghz. Neighbors... not sure what system they have, but it causes interference. This is between channel 2 and 7 on the 2.4Ghz band. Haven't been able to get it to be stable, but I can click the "optimize" button and reconfigure - the system switches the band between the 2 channels. This causes small blips, and I've noticed that when switching between MESH devices - we have one in the center of the basement and the other in the center...sorta...of the 2nd floor - that a device...cell phone, iPad... can fall off the network, and it can take 10-20 seconds to reconnect. Is it perfect? Nope. It's MUCH better than the multi-radio single router/access point we used to have. Maybe WiFi 7 will help in the future..not sure. Right not, when it's working, there's significantly more stability, especially for our kitchen WiFi LED strip controllers, which were being bumped again by the neighbor's WiFi activity near our shared wall. Weird, but... this HELPS!Changing the position of an access point can affect things, so... play around with it. Reconfiguring/scanning for interference works, even though it's annoying. The ONLY interference issues we've had, are on the 2.4Ghz band. 5G is perfect...no problems. We could have set up 3 devices, but our home may actually be too small even for the 2 devices - we have maybe... 1300 sq/ft, and this covers...at least 6,000 or 7,000, I think.Firmware updates are fast and easy. Configuration options are simplistic. Navigating to the advanced sections was... slightly difficult, but once I got there, the rest is easy. The app does much more than the web-interface - you can't do much of anything by logging in via the web.Rebooting a device, or the system, takes several minutes.I may update this after a year or so. It's been in place just a few months. It wasn't expensive, and the performance seems decent.
