I recently purchased this solid start hard drive to upgrade my 2015 IMAC 5K machine. It was taking 4-5 minutes to boot up. In addition, it would take 1-2 minutes to open an application on my mac. I formatted this drive and installed MAC OS and what a difference it made. About a minute to boot up and less than 6 seconds to open applications. $140 is worth the investment rather than buying a whole new machine. Kids love that is much faster and have been playing non-stop!

Good size (and the rubber feel is also great). Fast and reliable, as soon as you use a better usb-c cable (or good luck on having the included one to connect at full speed).

Exactly what I needed. The physical Suze is smaller than expected which is great, high quality cords included, and best of all exceptionally fast. I had a huge catalog of large video files to back up (72 GB) on an older laptop. This deive uploaded all of them in under about 30 seconds and allowed me to upload them to my new laptop extremely quickly with zero errors. We'll Wirth the investment and could not be happier. I have used it extensively for uploading and downloading extensive files and this is perfect.

with a thunderbolt 4 port .. it's fast. not sure of longevity or reliability .. how well it will handles wear leveling and such. or reliability .. if it'll just quit or if it'll die a slow death like a physical hard drive. but, it's fast and roomy for now.
