I love it! The people complaining about the size must have not realized it is 11 count, which I prefer to work with. The thread does tangle a little easier than I am used to while working it, but the thread organizer is a god send. I love it! So far, this has proven to be a wonderful piece to work on, and the accent half cross stitches really do make all the difference in looks. Although I am only 1/3 the way through, I'm very excited to finish. :)

I've been doing Dimensions kits since I was about 8 years old. I'm 23 now and for the past 4 years there hasn't been a time where I didn't have a Dimensions project going. This kit was great. Easy and quick but not too easy to be boring. Good for when you want to have a craft project for the weekends or something but are too busy to dedicate a lot of time to a huge project. And it turned out really beautiful. The colors are nice and bright.

I have waited to get this pattern for a while as it reminds me of when I was a young girl and what I may have done to a snowman. I am a very experienced cross stitcher. This kit is not for beginners who know nothing about cross stitch. The Aida fabric is stiff and rough. I will be changing it out to a nice Evenweave white or light blue background. The floss colors are very pretty but the floss has no sheen like a DMC or specialty thread and appears rough and appears to shed. The color-card is a huge help with the presorted colors instead of receiving in one or two huge bunches to sort with very good lighting. I also do not know if these flosses are Colorfast. This time I may switch out for my DMC or specialty flosses. I always place the colors and numbers on floss cards placed on a binder ring for ease in use. I am not fond of color charts so will be enlarging and copy in black and white. I always make a working copy so original does not get damaged. There are always a lot of 1/2 and 1/4 stitches along with backstitching and combining two colors for the effect of these kits. That is why I say they are not beginner friendly if you know nothing about cross stitching. In fact, I find Dimensions kits some of the hardest to stitch out of all my patterns. That said, they also turn out very nice due to there being so many color switches, backstitching, 1/4 and 1/2 stitches.

I liked the plain simple phrase that says everything......treasured friend.

This is definitely a challenge--working with dark threads on black aida cloth. Do not choose this as your first cross stitch project. Set it aside until you have done some on white aida cloth and you've blended threads, used different kinds of stitches, etc. I used additional metallic blending filaments to make my butterfly iridescent. It's really outrageous.I really like Dimensions cross stitch kits. They have nice colors, the threads are already sorted, the instructions are complete, and you get to use several different kinds of stitches. Their finishing details are always nice too--French knots, couching, not just simple back stitch.
