I've ordered 3 times for the same product that I really need for my surveillance hard drive, but I keep getting the wrong products which my dvr do not comply with, feel disappointed.

Works perfectly fine, pretty durable and not issues on it as of yet. Not much to say about hard drives other than that its reliable. I have this particular one installed in my security camera system which is on 24/7 and this hard drive is a keeper. It's been over a year since i've been using it now so I would recommend this product to those who may have a similar use for it as I.

The WD Purple drives are excellent for Surveillance systems. The video recording and playback using this drive over the WD Red drives in my NAS do actually make a big difference. I am using this drive in an Asustor NAS configured for video cameras in my home. I previously was using the WD Red NAS drvies, but some of the recordings were a bit choppy. Since I have replaced the WD Reds with the WD Purple this is no longer an issue. Amazon also does an excellent job with packaging and shipping of this product, in that they ship them in proper hard drive boxes which protects the drive perfectly. Other stores usually just ship OEM/bare drives in bubble wrap if you are lucky and do not product the drive like Amazon does. I have purchased a total of 3 of these drives now from Amazon, and have not had any issues at all with the drives.
