This was my first backpack that I purchased specifically to travel. I went to visit my husband and stepchildren in Bogotá, Colombia. I always have many things to bring there. This backpack has so many pockets for my tablet, chargers, snacks, change of clothes (in case my luggage was lost), makeup and misc items I needed to carry on my flights. I purchased the white and will be getting a different color. It was easy to carry it through the airport even with it fully packed and heavy. The quality is sturdy and is comfortable on your back. I highly recommend it! The price was affordable! Thanks

I bought this backpack to use as a personal item for a Frontier flight and size wise it was perfect. It features lots of little pockets and spaces. I was able to roll and stuff 3 days worth of clothes easily. Loved my color choice as well. It had a few black marks once I returned from my trip, but they came off with a little elbow grease and dawn detergent. Quality is great. I would give it 5 stars, but the charging port doesn't work, which would be nice to have, but not worth the trouble to return.

Wow. I am so, so, so happy with this bag! I've been on a quest to find a bag that fits United's stingy personal item requirements (17x10x9) so that I can travel domestic basic economy for weekend getaways with only a personal item. None of my many bags fit the bill. Some are definitely smaller, but I want to use every precious inch they allow. There are bags out there that meet these measurements, but they're not backpacks (like the Bento bag). I'm looking for comfortable hands-free transport. And I want a bag that opens like a suitcase with lots of features and organization. Basically I want a Knack bag, but I don't want to pay $185.I purchased four bags to test, including two eBags and one Osprey. This no-name $45 bag is the winner! This bag holds everything I need for a 4-day getaway with room to spare. I've attached a pic of everything I fit into this bag. My packing cube contains one pair of jeans, two pairs of leggings, a long-sleeve tunic, a short-sleeve blouse, two lightweight sweatshirts, two T-shirts, five pairs of underwear, and five pairs of socks. My liquids bag is not shown, but it fits. My laptop and tablet are also not shown because they're not coming this time, but they also both fit. However, I would only travel with one or the other, not both, as they impede my ability to squish this bag down to the airline sizer dimensions. I could definitely fit a pair of slim sandals or packable sneakers as well.I like to travel with a small crossbody that holds my IDs, credit cards, money, chapstick, hair tie, earbuds, small pill container, and I can easily stash this crossbody in the laptop section of the bag if I am asked to do so. (It's in the pic.)I made full use of the two front pockets and the side water bottle pocket. There is a hidden pocket on the back of the bag that I left empty for now. The front zip interior pocket is also empty. This bag has an interior pocket for a small power bank and it does have a pass-through port. One of the best features of this bag is the compression straps! They definitely help cinch the width of the bag. The shoulder straps are comfortable, and the fact that they don't stow away is pretty much the only downside to this bag. There is a strap on the back for a luggage handle. There is also a chest strap. It feels very light and comfortable on my back fully packed. So fully packed, ready to roll, consciously not packed super full so I can squish it down, I am able to get this bag to 17x10x6. So I have room for some small souvenirs or for my laptop when needed. I'm utterly amazed. The only thing I'm not sure of is how well this bag will hold up over time. It's definitely not made with the highest quality materials. Though it looks good. But even if I only get a year out of it, I'll consider it money well spent. I'm so happy!**Clarification: There are now two sizes of this backpack. My review is for the smaller one.

I bought this dandy pack to use to carry my camera equipment. I also bought an inexpensive padded insert that can hold my three lenses (150-600mm, 8-16mm, and 16-55mm), and one camera and it works great. The pack is comfortable with the heavy equipment inside and has room for batteries, filters, and assorted extras that I usually carry. Because I have the padded insert on the bottom of the pack facing up, I can simply zip open the main compartment and slide in/out anything with ease. The padded insert has a removable padded cover that I put underneath to insure that when I set the pack down, the equipment is protected. Due to my novel usage, I have not used the shoe compartment. This will be great for plane travel since it fits under the seat. I especially like the "hidden" pocket against my back. That's a great addition for international travel. I previously carried a larger, heavier pack that held much more, but I can pack the stuff that doesn't fit in this one in a suitcase and do just fine. This way, when I arrive, I have the smallest, lightest load to carry when out photographing. I realize that most people are not buying this pack for my usage, but it is well suited for this "off-label" application.

This is review supports what was said the Amazon review on CNN ("We tried the viral Amazon travel backpack — and it lives up to the hype.") it said this was the "best backpack for the money, well-designed, good material, lots of pockets, well thought out. Absolutely agree. Bought this for my wife as a potential replacement for a travel backpack she uses and likes very much - and SHE loved this. One of the criticisms of the pack in the CNN review was minor: the outside water bottle pouch was rather small and won't hold a lot of standard/large water bottles. OK, if this is SO important to you, then don't get a TRAVEL backpack, get a HIKING backpack! So, I don't feel it's a completely valid criticism. This is advertised as a TRAVEL backpack, NOT a HIKING backpack. There's a difference. And as a travel backpack, the necessity of a water bottle pouch is, frankly, fairly minor compared to everything else: durability, lots of pockets, ease of slipping on and off a roll aboard, ease of access, comfort carrying a lot of stuff but able to fit in the overhead bin (where, in fact, carrying a water bottle in the pouch is a RISK!)The only criticism is of the descriptions: made in China, so, you have to subtract a whole size for each letter size: i.e., "L" is really "Medium" and "XL" is really just "Large" and there isn't any "XL"...
