I have a different animal for each of my kids. The baskets hold a lot and are easy to carry to the laundry room. I'm not sure I like the mesh bottom because if there's any dirt on their clothes it falls through, but it's not that big of a deal.

I tell my 3 year old daughter to “feed the octopus” and she runs to put her dirty laundry away. This hamper is just the right height for her. It’s sturdy and cute. Mesh on the bottom for breathability. Handles food down to make a lid with a round hole. It’s not that big, but neither are my daughter’s clothes and since she’s potty trained and a fairly tidy eater, she doesn’t go through tons of clothes anymore.We have a larger hamper for our infant who spits up, has diaper blowouts and goes through lots of bibs, blankets, towels. I’d consider getting this for a toddler or preschooler, but not for a baby unless you do laundry super frequently.
