I study color vision. This is a fun desk toy to hand to almost anyone, whether they know how color works or not! The sides do scratch pretty easily but I don't mind, makes me less worried about handing it off.

Great cubes. I bought two, and if you can see my pictures, the CMY color cubes are shown in each picture on the right, next to my cubes by Vasa Mihich for comparison.The cubes are better than I expected. I was worried they would have a flimsy film applied, but instead they are very permanent feeling.While my Vasa Mihich cubes have color laminated on three sides, these cubes have color applied to all six sides, so there is a different effect.I would absolutely recommend this cube. Everybody should have one. Or two. Or twenty.

It’s got vibrant and vivid colors and I got the smallest one and it’s way way bigger than I expected it to be, it doesn’t come with a stand, but it comes with a little dust bag, but it was totally worth the purchase in my opinion. It’s exactly as described.

I would think most customers would like this cube for playing around and for seeing how colors combine to make other colors. Would be particularly fun and educational for children. However, I bought five cubes and made a display. Made a long, narrow shelf and drilled five holes in it. That way, I could set the corners of the cubes into the holes so that they stand upright like a diamond rather than simply laying on one side. With each cube oriented differently, it makes a great display of colors.

I got these as prizes for my son's birthday (not party favors, exactly, because not every kid got one). Kids had to win them by scoring highly on some engineering challenges. Let me say that these color cubes were VERY coveted, and there were some disappointed kiddos who didn't win one and who left the party asking if they could get them for their own birthdays!They are sort of like prisms, but not exactly. They don't require a beam of bright light to make a rainbow. Rather, they are made of precisely cut different colors of translucent glass stuck together into a large cube, so that when you twirl the cube, the colors overlap and neatly blend. It's hard to explain in words. You should get one and see for yourself!
