Only been using these a short time, but I like the easy open feature and an easy way to see that the seal is in place. There is a small tab in the middle that inverts downward when the vacuum process is completed. If it is no longer sealed, it will be flat. There is small ledge around that tab that you can pull to release the seal vs. bending at the edge of the jar lid to open, which damages the lid overtime. I have had an issue with a few of my wide mouth lids not holding a seal, but it could be user error or a problem with that one particular lid. Overall, these are easy to use, which makes implementing them into food storage quick and accessible.
