OUR MOST POWERFUL CLEANING ROBOT YET. It vacuums with 100% more suction power*, mops back-and-forth with downward pressure—and learns which rooms get dirty fastest. Intelligently engineered to even empty its own bin and wash and dry its own mop pad. AN EXPERT IN DIRT ELIMINATION. The 4-Stage Cleaning System features an Edge-Sweeping Brush for thorough corner cleaning, Dual Rubber Brushes that avoid pet hair tangles, strong suction that easily pulls embedded dirt from carpets, and SmartScrub that mops back and forth with precision. IT DOESN’T JUST LEARN YOUR HOME; IT REACTS TO IT IN REAL TIME. With PrecisionVision Navigation and a camera, your robot identifies and avoids obstacles of all sizes like pet waste, charging cords, socks and shoes to get the whole job done. SMART SCRUB MOPS BACK AND FORTH WITH CONSISTENT PRESSURE AND 2X DEEPER SCRUBBING*. Some areas of the home need a deeper clean–pawprints in the mudroom, spills under the kitchen table, tiles in your bathroom. Simply enable SmartScrub and your Roomba Combo 10 Max will scrub back-and-forth, just like you would. *Compared to standard vacuum and mop mode for coffee and grime. CLEANS YOUR HOME – AND ITSELF. The AutoWash Dock empties debris into an enclosed bag, refills the mopping tank, and washes and dries the mop pad all while its Self-Cleaning Cycle keeps the dock clean with the least amount of effort from you.

My experiences with a previous model Roomba combination vacuum and mop model were mixed, and while I was willing to accept some imperfections in exchange for the convenience, it got to be a lot, and I effectively stopped using it and reverted to an older vacuum only model that I thought had been permanently retired to use upstairs. This Roomba Combo 10 Max Vacuum and Mop with AutoWash Dock represents a number of significant improvements, and so far, I don't have any reason to stop using it. Navigation seems to have returned to a better level of smoothness that somehow got lost with the previous version, and beyond some bumping around during training there's much less hard bumping into things during navigation. Cleaning into corners isn't perfect but has definitely improved. Mopping routines are handling dirt and grime much better, with more passes in different directions rather than just rolling away. The mop lifter mechanism seems smoother and also seems to engage in a more timely fashion, which has greatly improved my issues with water getting from areas with hard surfaces to areas with carpeting. Speaking of navigational smoothness regaining previously lost improvements, this model seems to also be much better at getting back to its dock. Charge time is essentially the same, as I expected it to be. So far, I haven't had any dust sensor issues triggering the filter alerts, but those have always been a thing with Roombas, so I won't be surprised if they happen. The mop pad washing function does a really decent job, and the unit does a really good job at conserving cleaning solution considering all it does, to be able to go for almost a week at a time on the clean tank. I am pretty rigid on emptying the dirty tank every day that I run the unit, as the idea of that water sitting doesn't thrill me, and I wouldn't want anything to grow stuff that could block up the works or cause errors. Mop washing does have a little volume to it, but it's still a lot quieter than running a manual vacuum, so I have no complaints there. The room mapping functionality is significantly improved with this model. The claims made are pretty close to what my experience was, and whatever AI is involved in making determinations in what a room is and the elements in a room, that's all pretty impressive. Obstacle detection seems a little smoother, but it does still get fooled sometimes. Most of all, it does still need good illumination in order to navigate and do its detection stuff successfully. A smart speaker skill that turns on all the lights when I tell it to activate the Roomba does the trick though, and even the cat has learned that when all the lights turn on all at once, it's probably best to run upstairs. All in all, the Combo 10 Max model seems, so far, to be delivering on its promises in a way that previous combo units seemed to often fall short on. I'm very happy with the performance of this model, and I look forward to seeing how its programmed abilities will improve in the future.

We use the iRobot daily to clean throughout the apartment (approx 800-900 sq. feet) that is predominantly hardwood floor and inhabited by three cats. We would have to vacuum everyday manually and since moving to an only hardwood floor layout found the mopping feature to be desirable. The iRobot has cut down substantially on time as realistically we couldn't vacuum every nook and cranny everyday as it was heavily time consuming so scheduling it to vacuum everyday at a certain time was a life changer. The mopping feature was great as well, but similar to the vacuuming, is not ideal for spots that require additional attention. What I like: Saves time if you require daily vacuuming with pets Mopping feature ensures hardwood floor feels clean Low maintenanceWhat I dislike:- Robot will somehow find a way to get stuck even with an open, empty floor plan with minimal objects on the ground so if you're at work and come home you may find it didn't do any cleaning as you must re-position it to reset it in order to start cleaning again. It has attempted to raise the mop under a door and because it couldn't just assumed it was stuck instead of moving forward 2 inches and trying again.- The app has said I needed to replace the filter a week into ownership likely due to all the cat hair but there is no option to clear the debris and estimate how much life it truly has. It simply wants you to replace it and press reset on the app. I just cleared it and pressed reset for now but I would be extremely unhappy if I'd have to buy a filter once a week.- I ran the iRobot 3 times in the kitchen and noticed it wasn't vacuuming one particular area. This is where having your own vacuum will be necessary.Verdict:Overall I am very happy with my purchase as someone who had to vacuum daily (realistically every 2-3 days depending on schedule). If you're someone in the same position, I'd recommend it if you don't have a lot of clutter on the ground as while it's expensive it has saved a lot of time so I think the peace of mind was worth it. If you're okay vacuuming with the aforementioned schedule and/or have a multitude of things on the floor, I'd stick with using a Dyson instead.

I previously had a separate vacuum and mop setup that needed to be serviced constantly, re-filling the mop reservoir, cleaning the mop head, emptying the vacuum, and plenty of other headaches. This version of the robot was a massive upgrade and 100% worth it in my opinion to be able to "set and forget" especially when I am out of town. After a painless setup to connect to WiFi and update firmware, it quickly mapped my home and got surprisingly close on room divisions, which were easy to tweak and then set up a normal cleaning schedule. I also enjoy the zone cleaning functions, like cleaning just an area in front of the oven instead of the whole kitchen.
