Unfortunately I got this thinking it would be better than a plastic one because my GSD has anxiety. This is actually pretty useless as he just bends it and folds it to a necklace and then the velcro does not stay on. Pretty disappointed and definitely was a waist of money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Really like the concept that it is not a hard plastic but a soft fabric. Really like how our rotty can see around him and have air flowing through to his face. We ordered the XL and it just barely fits his neck. It has a velcro closing, very easy to attach. We think they tend to run small. Love the colors though! Very easy to use and my dog was not afraid to wear it for his cataracts surgery we purchased it for. No worries on damaging walls or furniture it is soft but sturdy enough to hold up and do the job it was meant to do. The ER at the vet hospital was very impressed by this cone. We were so thrilled to visit our pet at the ER after his surgery and find him in a cage that he could comfortably lay down as he wanted. Very happy with this purchase! Oh and very easy to clean in a gentle cycle washing machine!
