This is a soft fabric cone, but it's "harder" and stiffer than you'd expect. I didn't find the buttons intuitive to use, but my husband figured out how to make them fit our large goldendoodle. She tolerated it fine. It's certainly better than the plastic ones, but I'd still prefer something softer and more pliable.

I looked at a bunch of these before I chose this. I thought a material one would be better than the plastic one I got from the vet. Problem is, it is solid and dark, making it impossible for my dog to see anything. She was miserable trying to navigate steps and even walking around the house. I was better off just using the plastic one (even though my chins would disagree). Maybe if you just want one your dog can sleep in, this would work?
