Been cutting my own hair since 2020. Been using the ubiquitous Remmington family model we had laying around the house for years. I like to do this about every 6-10 weeks so I get a good couple of inches of growth, and it used to be a long and tedious job (about 45 minutes). Lots of tugging, working down to the right length, clippers pushing the hair flat so I had to attack from multiple directions. I get this gem and POW THREE MINUTES! Put on the guard length I want and one pass and done! No tugging, no fuss, same muss.Good weight, quality build (Though I just bought so take that opinion with a grain of salt. Guards are solid and attach firmly. Overall the purchase exceeds my expectations. Considering this thing cost about what most places charge for a hair cut these days, a real money saver.There are two things I wish were better though (consider them peripheral to the essential function so doesn't impact my star rating):One, I would like a nylon or at least plastic case. The box it comes in is sturdy but cardboard, nonetheless. Over time it will fall apart. Lots of fiddly bit to keep together, so something a little nicer would have been appreciated.Second is the power cord. It is a funky design with a USB attachment on the power side and old fashioned two prong on the appliance side. I wish they had made up their minds and gone two prong or total USB. This is because the USB part will fail at some point and this cord is totally unique to the product.
