This is by far the most comfortable, versatile boot I’ve ever worn. Due to automobile wreck, I must wear a sizable insert in one shoe. This boot easily fits the insert. Started wearing the boots all day from day one with no blisters. I’ve had them for 6 weeks now and I basically live in them on our farm. Had to walk through standing water/mud after getting my tractor hung up. With the water up to my ankle, my foot did not get wet! I very rarely write reviews, but this product deserves to be praised highly! I would absolutely recommend this boot for hiking, working, comfort, and style. It is very cute with a pair of jeans on a night out. Only caution is that it runs small so I had to order a full size up from my normal size.
Really Irritated!
For the love of God....why would anyone make a pair of hiking boots that do not have slip resistant soles? Seems ridiculous to me!! I have never personally owned a pair of hiking boots before. But I would have thought that feature would be AUTOMATIC! If you are climbing over rocks and hills and the like, I would imagine that it could get pretty slippery. Upon further reading it seems to be a toss up as to whether hiking boots are non-slip or not. This is my first pair and I do not hike. I bought them for work. I work in a refrigerator/freezer all day with food. It often gets slippery on the cement floor (which also tends to be very wet from the "iced foods" that come in daily.) There is absolutely no slip resistance whatsoever on these boots. As a matter of fact...it doesn't take much at all to be "skating". There are metal drains in the floors that do stay wet from condensation. I can't tell you how many times I have almost "kissed cement" when I have stepped on those drains. Or if I have stepped on a piece of fruit. So I ALWAYS have to be very conscious of where I step or what I step on. I don't have time to walk like I am on egg shells all day so I am not thrilled. Other than that I guess they are pretty comfortable. They could definitely use more cushion! I bought a pair of those gel insoles, unfortunately once they are in there is not a whole lot of room for your foot. Even when I loosen the laces it still feels like my foot is being squeezed in there. So out they came. I needed boots in a hurry as my last pair had seen their day. I thought Timberland was a good boot. I had a pair of Timberland work boots many years ago that were like walking on clouds. I've tried several pairs since then and they are so uncomfortable. I bought a pair when I bought these and returned them because it was like having boards strapped to my feet. No cushion whatsoever! So I would have to say that I will not be in any hurry to buy Timberland anything anymore...because they have "CHEAPED OUT." They are no where near worth what they charge.***UPDATE*** I received these boots in June. It is now December and I already NEED new boots. The rubber is all pulling away from the boot. They look like hell. And while I am aware that my job can get messy...these boots look like they are 10 years old after only 6 months. Save your money. I have read several reviews about Timberland on Amazon. Many have said that the received FAKE Timberlands. For all I know I did too. I have had $25 boots hold up better than these!! GARBAGE!

Grip is strong on these, did not feel nervous climbing on rocks. Good ankle support. They are also really cute, it’s worth the money

I bought my first pair at REI after getting a fitting. I tried on more expensive brands but these fit my slightly narrow feet best, and while leather, they are lightweight so as not to weigh you down. They were comfortable right away but I did find they needed a little breaking in before a 12-15 mile hike. I learned this the hard way and got a blister on my toe. But none after! The boots have been on 4 Grand Canyon multi day backpacking trips, walked in many creeks, and climbed up many rocky rocky terrain. They did really well on ice while hiking last April in the Grand Canyon. I have wore mine at least a couple hundred miles and after a year and half had to retire them. They are super sturdy but I just wore them out. Just got a new pair, they look so nice, time to start getting them ready for serious hiking. If you have a wide foot, not for you. If you need a cushiony feel, not for you. They are very comfortable, and even after 5 days of wearing them while backpacking, my feet never hurt. I also wasn’t quickly slipping in to sliders and out of them as other hikers were at the campgrounds. I wear a size 9 in hiking boots because of steep terrain and the same for these.

Comfortable, true to size, actually water resistant and super cute.
