As a pro entertainer for 44 years, I can say this is the best 12" 2-way speaker I've owned, and I've owned all the name brands. I own 4 of these. Clean, light weight, and unbelievable sound reproduction.A bit pricey but you get what you pay for... I recommend a power amp if you're going to drive 4. You will be knocked out with the sound. I didn't buy mine here, But I own a set. I'm a professional DJ. I've used these for years (I think I purchased them in 2006). One got stolen over the weekend. I'm dying at how much it will cost to replace, but it's worth every penny.

I've used these speakers and they have extremely high quality sound. They are very clear with tight bass. Most people don't realize the clarity of the speaker has a lot to due with the geometry of the horn and cabinet structure. The traditional 90X40 horn has much more phase distortion compared to this rounded 65x65 throat horn. Of course, clarity also comes from a lower crossover horn driver and from high quality components which this Sx300e has. These are actually made in the USA and come with a 5 yr. warranty. I've compared these to all the rest out there and even though they are an older design, they still beat most in size and price range. The 32 lb cab. is also a real plus. These don't go real low, but low enough for most medium live sound events. This speaker is very powerful and really sounds great with a powerful amp and clean mixer setup.

I manage a community performing arts center, and we have 6 of these (plus 4 more in the music rooms). The SX300 is extremely durable (our oldest are the previous SX200 version and are over 20 years old). These are among the most versitile speakers I've used, as they can be pole mounted, suspended individually (with a kit), or suspended as an array (with kits), and can be used as wedges with a simple foot kit. I love that we can use them for monitors for our general shows, or we can use them suspended for larger events outside our main venue. Sound quality is great, and they last! Replacement parts are simple if you happen to blow a driver.
