It’s expensive, yeah. But good tools are expensive. Made in Japan with the foam tool organizer. The foam is good, not the best I’ve seen, especially the metal printed top. It feels a little papery.But the tools themselves are very well made. No defects to be found, the plastic handles are fantastic with no burrs. The chisel is sharp and thin, perfect for cracking open and prying a valve cover (I just did that a week ago).Today I got a chance to use the hooks, and the multiple shapes are good. At first I thought that it seemed a waste to have two hooks that are exactly the same but different orientation, but it turns out that it was super useful in a tight space to get around a stubborn power steering hose.I was afraid this hook would be too large, but it worked fantastic on the power steering hose. They’re nicely blunt with almost a tiny ball tip, which means no piercing and ripping hoses.A tip for the picks: get it under a hose and then move them around the perimeter to break it free. If it’s still being stubborn after that, spray a tiny bit of brake cleaner on the inside of the hose where you attached the pick. It’ll free it right up and evaporate cleanly.But I’ll be honest; do you really need expensive Japanese made picks and chisel? Probably not. But if you love buying tools and you love quality tools, then these will definitely last a long time. I just wish they added mini picks into this set as well.
