Bought it for a friend taking a State Exam. Then my niece who is in Pharmacy School saw it and didn't know something like it existed and I bought the next one for her. Same answer to the next question.

If you like words, you will love this book. If you know even a part of the root YOU can just about figure out the meaning of a word. I enjoyed just flipping through and picking out words.( yes I DO have a life, really ) I just like learning things like this. If I know the root, I'm not running to the dictionary every five minutes.it A good book.

This is a good book but not great. It is not as organized or inclusive as I thought it would be. I bought it for my eight year old son to augment his vocabulary. The words are not in alphabetic order nor are they in some thematic order so it is difficult to navigate. But my son does like it and it is helping him understand vocabulary words better.

I have been using root words, prefixes and suffixes as a means of helping my ESL students gain a strong position in developing a stronger vocabulary. This book offers the student the opportunity to learn the roots of many of our words but at the same time learn the frequently used words from those roots.

I bought Normon Lewis's Word Power Made Easy in the 1960s in HS; used it in LPN school, and College too. I was expecting the same format as in Root,Pre & Suffixes and Homonyms ( as in your books ). The new format( in Lewis's book )not what I was looking for. Yours is very helpful & what I was looking for. This will be good in elementary school and up, to build vocabulary power.🙂
