This is a nice cutting board. I purchased this specifically to go inside a Rubbermaid cake dish so that when we cut cakes / bread it won't cut or mar the plastic container. I can take the board out and clean it. The cutting board is the perfect shape for my use and is made from a good quality wood. I will say that the board did not come treated and I had to treat initially upon receipt. This was not an issue for me, as I applied coconut oil to it and now it functions and looks beautiful. I also received a nice email and a personalized note from the seller. Nice board and good quality. I would definitely purchase other boards from these sellers.UPDATE: After using this board for about two years and only quickly rinsing with a mild soap (Palmolive), this board cracked. I reached out to Virginia Boys Kitchens and they were FANTASTIC. Promptly sent me a new board. Excellent customer service and completely stand by their warranty. I would (and will) highly recommend them.

I’m going to keep this board so I’m giving it three stars instead of one or two and will try a finish it myself. I assumed for the price it would be a much higher quality of workmanship. The surface is very rough so I don’t think there were any human hands finishing it. Nobody would pass this through inspection if you ran your hands over it. I will say it’s very beautiful but not functional.

This cutting board is absolutely gorgeous. It's hardier than bamboo and other woods most cutting boards are made of. The care instructions are clear and the company offers products to care for your board. I really love that their products are all made in the USA.

I ordered 3 of these cutting boards in various sizes and got multiple splinters in my hands removing them from their shipping containers. It was obvious they had been oiled; however, they were not sanded well. I chose to keep and sand them. These boards are expensive and touted to be of great quality; the substandard finishing is unacceptable. I wanted to order the next size up of the rectangular board but am skeptical to do so.

This cutting board is beautiful! It is made in the USA with wood from the USA. No cheap foreign-made junk. I'm sick of purchasing so much foreign-made junk from Amazon. I would definitely buy it again, in fact, I may! They are saying wood is a healthier choice for a cutting board. For decades, our great grandparents used only wood cutting boards and did not become ill from the chicken or other such nonsense. Buy this board, you won't be sorry!
