My pair in camel just arrived yesterday. I plan to wear these during my daily walks on the trails in the northern suburbs of Chicago this winter. They look like they are definitely worth the money. My only concern is that the description here says they are insulated with Thinsulate. All of my winter articles like gloves and boots have a label saying they contain Thinsulate, except these. There is nothing in the boots or the box that indicates that they are insulated with Thinsulate. We shall see this winter just how warm they are. Haven't worn them out yet but they look great so far..

Great pair of boots for the money!

This pair of NORTIV 8 mens boots have a 6" upper that offers good ankle support.I ordered a pair of the dark brown color and I could not be happier with the overall look of this pair of boots. They have 3m thinsulate insulation should provide good cold weather performance. I won't be able to verify this for another 3-5 months.I haven't walked through any shallow streams yet, but the waterproofing has held up in wet fields and rain storms. These boots seem to run true to size. I ordered a size 10.5 and they provided a great fit.The soles have good traction and don't hold onto to much mud.The shoe laces are easy to snug up and loosen. It was a nice touch to include a set of replacement shoe laces.I have two issues with these boots.1: They have little to no built-in arch support. I fixed this problem by purchasing a good pair of replacement insoles.2: There is a issue with the upper construction of the right boot. Just below the point where the upper padding meets the leather upper there is a small "lump" underneath the lining. This lump causes a "hot spot" pressure point on my ankle bone. Hopefully this issue was just a one off manufacturing mistake.

Haven't warn them in deep snow yet but they have kept my feet warm and dry walking my dog in cold, frosty temperatures. So far, very happy

I bought these shoes right before my hiking trip to Arkansas, and they worked great! Although I didn’t experience any cold weather, they are definitely waterproof—I stepped ankle-deep into a nasty mud pit, and my sock stayed dry. I’m surprised at how few scratches they have, considering some of the paths I took were riddled with thick thorns. These shoes are worth the money, in my opinion. Overall, they are not cheap, provide great ankle and foot support, and are comfortable to wear for extended periods. I did notice some wear in the heel of one shoe, but that’s to be expected with heavy use.
