The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane, High-Strength Retinol Serum for Anti-Aging and Skin Smoothing

This is my first time using retinol since I high school (I had severe acne) and I chose this one because of minimal ingredients and because I can easily adjust the potency by diluting it in another oil. I used 5 drops just one time the 1st week just to see how my skin would handle it. It can be very irritating, and I could tell it was too much for my skin so I decided to go low and slow. So for a few weeks I did 1-2 drops in 3-4 drops of jojoba oil once a week. Then gradually increased frequency and potency.Anyway, this has worked well for me so far. I'm not sure if I'd purchase again because I'm still unsure of how I feel about retinol. I'm thinking glycolic acid might be better for what I'm looking for, but I really like this product so far because I've been able to adjust it according to my needs.

A little sticky, but noticeable change in skin texture, and color!

Skin feels softer and pores appear smaller in the first week. I did notice minor breakout for the first few days. This is a great alternative to expensive retinol products.

I love this retinol , it actually works and my skin enjoys it, it’s a clear color and the texture is smooth, my skin absorbs it pretty easily. This is a product I’d definitely recommend.

TLDR;AMAZINF product- I absolutely would recommend.-target my fine lines and wrinkle-skin feels nourished and looks rejuvenated and plump-younger looking skin-doesn’t break me out-plays nice with my other products of other brands.-only a few drops needed and spreads across face easily.-bottle lasts a good whileI heard the stories is what retinol could do but didn’t think it would do this much.My skin is breakout prone, and this didn’t break me out. What it did do was make my skin feel AMAZING. It felt soft, hydrated and nourished and looked even better.I added this to my nighttime routine and waking up in the morning my skin looks nourishes and plump. After a week of consistent use, my fine lines and crows feet really started to fade and now a month barely visible.The only down side for me is my skin seems more prone to sunburn, but spf is already important so it’s not a big deal for me.All in all I would recommend this product. The price and results for me are unbeatable.
