First off, This Barbie is absolutely stunning! Her hair is a soft, silky Saran mix, and her face is resin printed; that means this doll should hold up to some pretty heavy play, which is perfect for a mermaid doll! The doll does have printed details on her top which are printed only on one side (the front), but overall is still decent quality.She has movement at the head, shoulders and hip, which is standard for mermaid dolls at this price point, but I’d really love to see Mattel put in a “knee” and elbow joint for more versatility!If you are like me and bought this doll primarily for the gorgeous face up, she is a perfect match for the Made to Move tennis player from 2023/2024.Overall, if you have a mermaid fan in your life who loves dolls, this is a brilliant choice for a fun gift!

Mattel has designed some very cute and pretty face sculpts lately, and I could not resist a fantasy-hair mermaid doll (designed by Angel Kent with the Odile face sculpt). This doll's printing is a bit pixilated, but I can overlook that, given how cute she is. Her lavender hair with pale pink top streaks is very soft and manageable, although straight out of the box she did shed a little. I brushed the hair and trimmed loose ends, and the shedding stopped for the most part. Her mermaid body is very pretty with sculpting details that are painted in a coordinating color scheme to match her hair. The arms only move lateral/rotate at shoulders, and there is articulation at the hip area so she can sit with her tail straight out. I bought her for $11 - could not pass up that deal, because I wanted her to put her head on an articulated body with legs. (Plan to use the mermaid body in a custom project.) This is a super nice play-line doll that came new in box in perfect condition - very happy with this purchase!

Now I have to buy all the mermaids… my two daughters can not take a bath with out having they’re mermaids. I’ve already purchased four for them, bright, vibrant, the tails if I’m correct the fun part at the bottom of the tail can come off and I believe you can switch them around from mermaid to mermaid which is pretty cool. Absolutely not made cheaply what so ever, worth the price for sure: and the variety of styles they have is just great.
