This 20 inch necklace opened exactly one time and then was impossible to open again. When it wouldn't reopen I even used pliers to make sure that I was squeezing the release bar enough, and the bar was going down but I still couldn't pull it apart because it wasn't releasing on the inside. No teeth marks were left by the pliers so it's not a soft metal and most likely would have been lasting had the locking mechanism actually worked correctly. I bought this because my elderly mother has a difficult time with regular clasps, but if I she had put it on before I checked it then I would have had to cut it off of her.I also ordered the 18 inch for another gift and it seems to be working fine, but I'm afraid that it will get stuck at some point too, so I'm leery of gifting it now. What a waste.

I ordered a cross to hold my Father's ashes. The chain that came with it was far too light weight and delicate. This cord works perfectly, and it substantial enough that will not break. I bought two, a 24" and a 26". The picture shows the 24" on my 18-1/2" neck. The clasp on this cord is so easy and very strong. I am sure it will work for a large variety of needs. Great buy.

I ordered this with the hopes of putting some charms onto it.It is well built and the clasp mechanism is solid and works well. However even the end that just connects, the metal is so wide that I was not able to put any of the charms in question onto this necklace.So well built, just be sure your charm or pendant has a really large opening to be able to thread it on.

Love this necklace!! It’s a great gift to give to someone or keep for yourself, especially when you add your own wire wrapped crystal or favorite charm. I bought a necklace like this once before but it wasn’t long enough so now my son wears it, he’s 6. But this one I got was a great length and sits perfectly between my boobs so I don’t lose my crystal attached lol 😆 Also they offer various sizes and lengths, so that’s cool. I recommend this necklace because it has a really nice latch that never comes undone when you’re wearing it. It stays in place on the back of my neck and I never have to keep adjusting it either. Super sturdy and good fair price! Also it comes in a cute little box and looks like it would be more expensive than what it is. So if you do get it as a gift to someone it’s basically already lovingly packaged. I’ll be ordering another one.
