this book by wizard really got me into new stuff, thinks like coloring by Greg Horn or setting mood by Mike Mignola; However, most of the topics just scratch the surface, they give you something but not all -hey! it's a start,and if you're drawing this book will help you or at least inspire you!

I bought this book for my wife. The review is written from her perspective. She has found it very helpful and would recommend it to those interested in comic book drawing. The other books in this series are also good at providing helpful techniques for good comic drawing.

This is NOT intended to be an introductory "how to illustrate book". Rather, its aimed at honing, or broadening your tradecraft for pencillers trying to get published. It covers professional submissions, and inking, as well as some storytelling. Essentially, for career minded or avid hobbyists. If you've got the skills, it offers alot of pointers and insights from professional pencillers. My $0.02 ? It could have been more substantial, but was compiled over numerous issues of the now defunct Wizard in the "how to" segments.
