Seriously, headphone jack, optical zoom, slo mo video recording, expandable storage, NO notch on the screen or stupid camera cutouts, dark purple color looks great in no case. There's so much to adore, just like the giant screen but super thin body. A bunch of people have asked me what phone I have because it just ooozes style but isn't immediately familiar. I've made the jump from Samsung very happily.

Replaced my water-damaged Mark III with this. I find the previous version's form factor having better ergonomics; but I like that one can disable that annoying always-on fingerprint reader with this one.Pretty much as speedy as the previous one. And that gorgeous display is back!I don't have VoWifi. I had no 5G connectivity at the beginning either, but I got that to work by sacrificing the set's dual-SIM capability. *#*#INFO#*#*, tap phone options and disable DSSD or something along those lines. No going back from that though, but then you're 5G ready all the time; and while I do miss that second SIM slot when travelling, the benefit balances the scales nicely for me.The main camera temperature seems a bit cooler than the one on the predecessor; otherwise there is nothing of note to distinguish between the two. As novel a feature as it may be, I am not convinced that the limited range of the variable lens is enough to suggest a sensible upgrade over the Mark III.Plenty internal space too; makes that micro SD slot provision feel redundant for most people; but if you're as finicky with the quality of your multimedia files (seeing that this thing is squarely aimed at audio/video-philes) as I am, you'll find its availability an equally welcome blessing as that of that headphone jack.A noticable improvement in the battery as well; lasts a bit longer than the Mark 3 off a single charge. The older model charges up a bit quicker though. That missing star's due to the omission of the data transfer cable. Ya, I know.

I live in usa and bought this to use on ATT, network wise it works exactly like my US model xperia 1 ii did volte provisioned and ims registered, unfortunately theres no actual 5G despite claims on Reddit or XDA that it does. It will say 5G but not connected to any NR bands, doesnt bother me though i still get 100mbps on LTE where i live***2 month update*Device is still working great. It from my understanding it will get actual 5g on tmobile, this is verision to get unless you have verizon in US, the CT62 US model bootloader is not unlocked. It is also not shown anywhere but this model is the CT72 with CUSTOMIZED TAIWAN firmware. You will not be able to get BRAVIA CORE on this model from playstore. Remember to disable DSDS mode if youre not running dual sim, battery life is improved with this disabled. The phone is much improved over my xperia 1 ii, the sceeen is very bright, haptic feedback are the best than any other phone i have used, fingerprint sensor is accurate, the cameras are FAST, the phones criticisms of over heating are blown out of proportion IMO. Ive Only seen the hot warning sign when i first got it and it was downloading updates/applying at the same i was taking quite a few continuous photos. This seller is slow to ship, prepare to wait a while to get your item to actually ship out, they will mark it shipped but mine didnt get in fedex hands untill the 8th day. They also ship it in a bubble wrapped fedex bag, could of easily been crushed, pretty disappointing to ship out a 1k phone in a bag. Luckily mine was intact and undamaged.

The phone has a great camera but it is barely usable in the USA with T-Mobile. I spent several hours with T-Mobile in store tech support and with Sony's online tech support and no one could get the phone to perform any better better than 2G speeds. I contacted the seller and they sent a return label (not prepaid) and the phone was returned to the seller. The seller has an insane restocking fee and charging me a restocking fee of $690.47 for a phone they misrepresented on Amazon. Stay away from this company.
