Warmer than I expected. We're still at the tail end of summer where I live, which means warm days and chilly nights, and to be honest this jacket is still a little too warm wearing for me even when the temperature drops to around 5C (around 40F). I was expecting a thin, lightweight jacket that would only be good for protection against the wind, but the soft, comfortable interior lining makes it toasty warm on chilly days.The jacket feels true to size for me. The pockets are big and the hood is large, but rests well on the shoulders without getting in the way when you're not using it. The construction quality is excellent, as you'd expect from Columbia. I think this will make a great mid layer when the real winter cold starts to hit.

Nice soft shell. The material is soft with a little bit of texture. The fit is slightly large for my Asian frame. The sleeves are particularly too long. However there are hook and loop on the sleeves to lock it down. The slightly over size is ok for a jacket that I need primarily for protection from the environment. The hood is sized for true protection as well.
