It came very well packed, each part was well padded and cushioned so there would be no chance of damage during transportation.Simple instructions and simple to assemble. All you do is place one base tubing into the other one, and it comes with an alan key and 5 bolts. 4 bolts connects the seat to the base and 1 must be a spare. And that’s it!It looks really modern and stylish. The seat is a kinda suede material. Feels and looks good, it’s ok to manoeuvre around.The minor negative’s are, one other reviewer mentioned you can’t rest shoeless feet on the foot rest bar for long as it’s a bit painful. And once sitting on the seat if your feet aren’t touching the floor it’s very hard to swivel, unless you’re close to some object (which I imagine you mostly would be anyway) where you can use your hands to push you into a gentle swivel or turn you. Another little thing, you can only raise the seat when you’re not sitting in it and only lower it when you’re seated in it. So when it’s up high it’s a little awkward to kinda lever yourself up (especially if you’re vertically challenged, like myself). But I’m able bodied and getting more and more used to that, so it’s ok for me. If you’re short and not so mobile you might struggle with this. It would be ideal if you could raise the seat while sitting in it, but I guess a lot of these types of stools/chairs work the same way?Despite the minor negative’s I’m relatively happy with this buy, providing I’m not slowly causing damage to the chair by constantly hoisting myself up. I guess time will tell, and I will update this review if that turns out to be the case in the next year or two. It feels sturdy enough when I’m sitting in it, but I wouldn’t say the same when I’m in the action of lifting myself up, when the seat is up high. I have to have it at a high level for what I need it for. My feet only just touch the floor when it’s at its lowest anyway, and I’m 5’ 7”.
