To start, I’m a big fan of Anker products. I’ve purchased many of their speakers, battery packs, cords and many other things. Rarely am I disappointed. I already have 4 of the 50W Anker Soundcore Trance Go speakers which I have been thrilled with in sound quality, battery life, ease of use, everything.I purchased two of these Rave Neo 2 speakers. I was thinking they would be great, 80W sound in a slightly bigger form factor and I could live with the 18 hour battery life.Well, I’ve been having some issues.First, when I pair the two Rave Neo 2’s together in stereo sound, they are absolutely amazing. Deep full sound. Work flawlessly. However, when you connect these in partycast to each other and with my other 4 Trance Go speakers there are issues. First of all to get them to connect is frustrating at best. I follow the directions over and over and they won’t connect. Then all of a sudden on the seemingly 10th time or more they connect, and I don’t know why or how. However, in experimenting, I’ve found I if I use a Trance go speaker as the primary and then connect the others, they connect no problem. Just can’t use the Rave Neo 2 as the primary.Second, in partycast mode, when I have 4-6 speakers going, they work fine for about 15-20 minutes, then it gets flakey. The sound will either cut in and out or the sound will sort of “jump around” between the speakers. It’s the oddest thing. It almost sounds like it’s trying to play in stereo. It does this about every 10-15 minutes or so, it corrects itself then plays on, then it happens again. Also, I’ve noticed this happens more when I use the Rave Neo as the primary speaker and much less often if I use the Trance Go as the primary. I have tried seemingly everything. I’ve made sure to keep the firmware updated on every speaker and I’ve followed the directions to the letter. It also doesn’t make any difference how close my Bluetooth device is to the primary speaker and I close every app on my phone.Lastly, battery life. My Trance Go speakers were advertised with a 24 hour battery life. They do way more than that. I’ve used them on the beach for 3 whole days before they need charging. The Rave Neo 2 says it should get 18 hours on a charge. I get nothing close to that even turning off the lights. Im lucky if I get 10 hours on them and I don’t play at high volume. I have to charge these twice before the Trance Go speakers need a charge.I don’t know what to do. When these work, they have awesome sound, but all these connection issues have gotten too annoying and I’m really tempted to send them back.Anker….Help!!!

These speakers are a great value - they have incredibly full sound (lots of bass) and can play music at a high enough volume to be very effective in outdoor spaces. They will crank out music for 6 hours on one charge (if not longer), and are waterproof. Great quality at a good price!

First of all before I begin my review I want to say that I absolutely love this speaker and actually I loveSoundcore products period! The app really is a cool extra that is provided with some of their products andis a major plus with BT speakers of this status and I think all speakers of this price range and higher shouldhave an eq app it makes such a difference and lets a consumer know that the company is confident enough in their product that they give the user the opportunity to tweak and play around with what they want in the sound of their music. I feel Soundcore is doing just that and I really appreciate this.I really am a believer in the saying "you can't compliment a positive with a negative" but in this case I must and is necessary !I purchased this speaker highly on the party lights and what they're supposed to be doing and well they're NOT doing ! I am not sure if my expectations are set super high but they do not dance in sync with the music that I am playing and I play all genre of music. It is really frustrating especially when I have reached out to the company as suggested by the company and the help is not there. I do not like to have to work for something that I have already worked to pay for and I expect should already be doing what it is advertised to do . This may be something minor to some people but as I stated earlier in this review , I based my purchase on the party lights and knowing because it is Soundcore that the sound would not disappoint and it has not . This is probably why I did not return this speaker because it really sounds great and the speaker itself is just so damn good looking !I feel that customer support was very lacking and I really wanted to take a point away for that reason and that reason only ! I am not sure what happened with my party lights but I can say that everything else is an A .So despite the party lights (it may just be me), I would highly recommend this BT speaker...great product!
