The Corsair RM850x is an outstanding power supply! It delivers 850 watts of steady, efficient power, easily supporting my high-end GPU and other components. The 80 PLUS Gold rating gives me peace of mind with great energy efficiency, and it's fully modular, so I only plug in the cables I need, keeping my build super clean. It’s also extremely quiet—even under load, I barely hear it running. Highly recommend for anyone building or upgrading a gaming or workstation PC!

I recently upgraded my gaming rig with an Intel i7-14700KF processor and an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, and I needed a power supply that could keep up with the demands of these high-performance components. The Corsair RM850x has proven to be the perfect choice.First and foremost, the fully modular design of this power supply has made cable management a breeze. The ability to only use the cables I need not only keeps the inside of my case tidy but also improves airflow for better overall system performance. Having 3x 8 pin CPU ports is also a nice-to-have, in case I decide to upgrade my motherboard and or CPU at any point. In my opinion, it's very important to purchase a power supply from a reputable brand, known for producing solid power supplies, to ensure that the expensive components you are powering, stay safe, and get the power they need. Investing in a good branded power supply should also help it outlast the other components' lifespan.Running on an Intel i7-14700KF and an RTX 3060 Ti, power efficiency is crucial, and the RM850x with its 80 PLUS Gold certification does not disappoint. It efficiently delivers power to my components, ensuring stable and reliable performance during intense gaming sessions and demanding tasks. Both components have also been overclocked, and the RM850x doesn't break a sweat. The 850 watts of power is more than sufficient for my setup, providing headroom for any potential future upgrades. The power supply operates quietly, and the Zero RPM fan mode ensures that the fan only spins up when needed, keeping noise levels down during lighter loads.Corsair's attention to build quality is evident in the sturdy construction of the RM850x. The components feel durable, and the unit itself exudes reliability. This power supply comes with a 10-year warranty, offering peace of mind and showcasing Corsair's confidence in the longevity of their product. In conclusion, the Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX 850 Watt Power Supply is an excellent choice, at the right price. I am certain it's going to last me 10 years.

Does what it is meant to. Upgraded from 2080ti to 7900xtx and gpu runs fine - reaches 520w in some benchmarks (albeit not all components running) and haven’t had any issues in games with average watts of 400w. Recommend, good quality for price, and in the top tiers for PSU ratings.

Pros:Power Capacity: With its 1000 Watt capacity, the RM1000x offers more than enough power to handle high-end components like the RX 7900 XTX graphics card and other power-hungry components. This ensures stable and efficient power delivery even during demanding tasks or gaming sessions.Efficiency: The 80 PLUS Gold certification indicates that the power supply is highly efficient, converting more power from the wall outlet into usable power for your PC components. This can help reduce electricity costs and waste heat, keeping your system running cooler.Fully Modular Design: The fully modular design allows you to connect only the cables you need, minimizing cable clutter inside your case. This not only improves airflow but also makes cable management easier during the build process.Build Quality: Corsair is well-known for producing high-quality PC components, and the RM1000x is no exception. The power supply is built with premium components, which contribute to its overall reliability and longevity.Quiet Operation: The RM1000x features a Zero RPM fan mode, which means the fan won't spin at low to moderate loads, resulting in quieter operation. This is especially beneficial during light computing tasks or when the system is idle.Overcurrent and Overvoltage Protection: Corsair equips the RM1000x with multiple safety features, such as overcurrent and overvoltage protection, to safeguard your components against power fluctuations and potential damage.Cons:Price: The RM1000x is positioned as a high-end power supply, and the fully modular design and high wattage capacity can make it relatively expensive compared to lower-end models. However, the extra cost is often justified by the added benefits and build quality.Overkill for Some Setups: Unless you are running a very power-hungry system with multiple high-end components or are planning to upgrade further in the future, the 1000 Watt capacity might be overkill for some users. A lower wattage model could be more cost-effective for more modest setups.Overall, the Corsair RM1000x is an excellent choice for enthusiasts and gamers who demand a robust, high-performance power supply to support their powerful components. It's efficient, reliable, and has a modular design, making it a top-tier option for those willing to invest in quality hardware. However, if you don't require the full 1000 Watt capacity, you might consider looking at other options within Corsair's lineup that suit your specific power needs and budget.

I’ve been using the Corsair RM750x, and it’s been fantastic for my gaming rig. It’s powerful enough to handle my setup with ease, and the 80 PLUS Gold efficiency keeps everything running cool and quiet. The fan barely makes any noise and at low and medium loads the cooling fan switches off entirely for near-silent operation. The fully modular cables make my build super clean and easy to manage, with no extra clutter. Plus, the build quality feels really solid. I’ve had zero issues with stability, and the 10-year warranty is a nice bonus. If you need a reliable, efficient power supply, I highly recommend the RM750x!
