I really wanted to love this little vacuum especially as Bissell supports animal charities. Unfortunately it has been somewhat disappointing and I’m already starting to see issues.Overall it feels quite cheap. Yes, it’s one third of the price of Dyson, but I was surprised at how plasticky it feels. I’ve only had it for two months and the power trigger is already getting hung up where it doesn’t always turn on right away. It’s decent for a quick morning pick up but it won’t serve you well for regular heavy duty vacuuming. Suction on carpet is poor at best and the regular floor attachment is limited in how you can angle it. If you try and turn into a tight corner the base of the head comes up of the floor. It does not swivel like others do.On the positive side; the attachments interchange easily and it’s not heavy which might be a benefit of the lightweight plastic. The heavier stick vacuums put a strain on your elbow and wrist. I appreciate that you don’t need to hold the power button to keep it running.My apartment is small and I’m only using it for a quick morning vacuum of my cat’s litter area and the kitchen. I get 3-4 days out of the battery on mid-power for five to ten minutes at a time. Running it on high power drains the battery quite fast.I’d pay a little more for the vacuum to feel a bit more substantial. I had to call customer support when I first received it and they were super helpful. Basically it’s ok for light duty but not nearly as nice as the higher end competitors.I contacted Bissell about the malfunctioning power trigger and they’re sending me a new replacement part. I have to say customer service has been great!

It’s a little work horse and it’s held up really well. Since I like to keep a clean filter in the machine, I bought extra filters from Amazon. Reasonably priced and very helpful. A final word. Some didn’t like the Featherweight because they felt suction’s not strong enough.When I first used the machine I wasn’t sold on it right away. I was used to my high powered ninja type vac that has enough suction to carry my German Shepherd to the back yard! But…and I think this is important…I realized that expecting so much from this little machine is like putting a 5 year old in the Boston Marathon. This vac is meant for small jobs! It wasn’t made to take on heavy duty clean/vac jobs. When I understood that concept and began using it for small pickups around the house (its purpose), I saw what this little guy can do. I am more than happy with my little 3 year old work horse does and I would buy another one in a heartbeat if needed!

For the price, it offers good value for quick cleanups in smaller spaces.However, the short power cord can be inconvenient, requiring frequent plugging and unplugging. It also struggles on carpets, even in handheld mode, as it lacks the suction power to pick up debris effectively. So works great if you plan on using just hardware floors in small spaces just limited as it doesn't work on carpets.

I bought this to replace a similar Bissell lightweight vacuum which my mother gave me when I first moved into my house 26 years ago. I have used it every day on my tile floors because I have parakeets and they make a mess with seeds and feathers. Lately my little vacuum was losing power and seemed to be just pushing the seeds around. Encouraged by the longevity of the old one, I bought another Bissell and I am very pleased with it. After opening the box, I was pleased to find a very similar construction with a more modern look and nice bright teal blue color. It is very lightweight and has powerful suction. Picks up all the seeds and feathers effortlessly. If this vacuum lasts 24 years like the last one, it will certainly outlive me!!

I ordered this for my elderly mother to use. Its lightweight and very easy for her to use around her house. The LED lights are a nice feature for areas that are not well lit. Time will tell how well it holds up, however first impressions after about a weeks use are great. She is very happy with the easy maneuverability and the easy empty canister. I would recommend this product.
