This isn't really a knock on the receiver as my Harman Kardon it replaced had the same issue. I run it through a pair of Sansui 2501 front speakers, a pair of Boston acoustic rear surround speakers, and an old center channel speaker from a 1990s era Phillips home theater in a box. I have an old car subwoofer but it is unpowered. Am I missing it on much without a subwoofer to justify buying an amplified subwoofer
