The Hatchimals toy is a lovely toy that delivers an interactive and memorable experience for children, making it a standout gift for special occasions like birthdays or Christmas. We gave this to my daughter on her birthday. The unboxing and hatching process is a significant part of the charm. Using the key-shaped wings, she unlocked the egg and set off an engaging spectacle of lights, sounds, and even smoke. This hatching part is a captivating experience which was lovely to watch as she stroked, tapped, and rocked the egg to encourage the Hatchimal to emerge.When the top of the egg cracks open, we helped get the remaining shell off and then helped attached the toy to the base for it to sit on. Once all set up, it is highly interactive, responding to touch, movement, and sound with lights, noises, and actions. It can record voices, flap its wings, move its legs, and more, offering loads of interactions that ensure long-lasting entertainment. Though it’s more mechanical than soft, its quirky personality makes it lovable. My daughter seems to adore hugging it, even though it isn’t plush like a traditional stuffed toy.The toy is on the pricier side, and while the included batteries (4 AA) are a welcome feature, the cost may feel expensive for some. However, the level of detail, interactivity, and the magical hatching process make it a worthwhile investment for me, and its guaranteed to bring a smile to a child’s face.

This Hatchimal egg features a mystery Hatch Puffcorn, however in this case it is narrowed down to two designs and let’s be honest they’re not that different you either get Misty or Snowy who look alike but feature different colours.There is a ceremony to opening it which is part of the charm giving your child a “magical hatching experience”. The batteries (x4 AA) are included which you’d hope at this price. I like that it is special as very often toys are played with when first gifted and children lose interest so this being part of the toy is another layer to it.The toy itself reminds me of a furby, quirky with its own little personality. It’s certainly more interesting than just a stuffed toy.Overall I think this is on the pricey side but I do appreciate the ceremony and uniqueness of it. If your child really wants it I think it will make a great “big” present, but for me way too expensive as an extra gift.

My neice is obsessed with hers. The magic of it hatching was fab! Would definitely recommend.
