I picked up this mouse because the Logitech 502 Hero I've been using for years didn't have enough thumb buttons for what I wanted to use them for in Star Citizen. The thumb buttons are what really make this mouse, IMO. The chevron-style arrangement is a brilliant and intuitive design, and I can very easily manage those buttons with my thumb while still moving the mouse and clicking with precision.Shifting to this mouse has definitely upped my game as a fighter pilot in Star Citizen, allowing me to shift my power management hotkeys over to my thumb and reducing the workload on my left hand.Getting that upgrade in capability did come with some downsides, however.First, a big downside for me personally is the size of the mouse. It is definitely pretty chonky. This is subjective, tho, as I have really small hands, so if you have average or larger hands and prefer a chonkier-sized mouse, this might be an up-check for you.It also has a fixed weight, and with the metal bottom plate, it's a fairly heavy mouse. That doesn't bother me much with my uses, but mouse weight can be a huge factor for some.I also don't like the lack of free-spin wheel toggle. That can get rather annoying at times, especially with how sensitive the middle mouse-click is (I'll frequently activate middle mouse button during long scrolls).Button durability might also be an issue. My left mouse button has recently started double-clicking on brief single-clicks. That might be a spring issue, or it might be a software glitch that mice in general can randomly get on rare occasion. I haven't taken it apart to mess with the switch yet, but it's more likely a switch spring issue, which is extremely frustrating since I've only had the mouse for a couple months. No rating on battery life, as I run it plugged in (I prefer wired mice over wireless, but there is no wired version).

It's hefty, feels great in the hand, side buttons are easily programmable, and has a nice charging dock. I use mine wireless all the time, but the cord option is nice to have. Came with accessories that I'm not sure I'll ever use like a travel case, extra switches, two high quality long cords that can be used for charging and/or mouse cable. TLDR: get this mouse, you won't regret it.

If you have giant hands like me then this mouse is for you! I'm 6'2 and have the same sized hands as my father who's 6'7, so it's always been very difficult to find products that work well with my giant hands, but this mouse fits my hands perfectly! This mouse definitely isn't for everyone, it's big, it has some weight to it (it's not light by any means), it has a ton of extra buttons on it, and it's wireless (which may or may not be a positive for some) but I love this mouse and highly recommend for other gamers with huge hands like myself. If you have huge hands I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!5 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

When my previous mouse started going south (battery life), I decided to go shopping for a new mouse. While I have some gaming requirements, my biggest 2 priorities were fit/feel and battery life. My hand is bigger, so I am picky to how it fits in my hand and how it feels to move it around. This does better with the palm fit for me - my hand feels more flat than curved up around a slimmer mouse. The battery life is easy met to advertised specs (I haven't actually measured), and is enhanced by a very nice receiver/magnetized charger. The 15 min minimum charge time is spot on. I now "hang" the mouse up every time I am done at my desk. The programmable LED features are nice and work well with the LED setup I already possessed. The thumb custom buttons (x 6) are surprisingly comfortable and 2nd nature to use and 3 of the buttons come pre-programmed for volume up/down and mute. VERY convenient! This is a great value - I would expect to have paid more for this unit. I have a ROG motherboard, so this continues my high standards for ASUS ROG product line.

I absolutely love the scroll wheel on the G502x and I wish more companies would adopt something similar, but I ultimately went with the Spatha because it's simply so much more comfortable. This is one of the few mice that has a ring finger rest which I find absolutely essential. It's comfortable and has all the thumb buttons I need. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit heavy which is unfavorable for fps games which I prefer, and the scroll wheel encoder is a standard type that feels spongy will inevitably wear out. At least they made it easy to take the mouse apart and fix when the time comes. It's definitely the most expensive mouse I've ever bought so I hope it lasts. Seems to be built like a brick which is good.
