Used this to drive some bookshelf speakers and was surprised at the power. One of the biggest quality of life is having the power supply built into them, and surprising to get some much power out of a small desktop amplifier. Great product for any entry audiophile looking for an amp.

The unit sounds great, but my Bluetooth quit after 90 days. Won’t even light up when selected. Have to use Aux only now to play music.

I bought this amp so I can run fully balanced at my desk. I love the sound of this amp. I am going from PC to Schiit Modius to Schiit Magnius to A300 to Dali Spektor 1s. All XLR and it sounds fantastic! I can't get it more than 50% volume without it seriously blasting. Even at 25% volume, it is nice and loud. Highly recommended! Also, I had this same setup using a 2ch Emotiva amp and bought this to save space and hook up the last of my chain balanced. I prefer this sound over the Emotiva A-300

I've now used this A300 with both unbalanced and balanced connections (and Op Amp upgrades) for over a year now.USING THE A300 WITH CONVENTIONAL RCA CONNECTIONS:To keep it simple - just using the A300 with the normal RCA cable connections - and using good associated audio gear - I give this amp just 2.5 - 3 stars at the max. It has its quirks and the differences in audio reproduction qualities between the direct mode and the tone control mode, are substantial. Using it in the Direct Mode results in music that seems thinner, brighter and cooler, whereas changing it to the tone control mode, dampens the music somewhat, but makes the overall sound signature warmer. And in the regular RCA connection mode, changing out the op amps - even with far more expensive discrete versions - showed only slight improvements - at least from what I could hear. But other experiences may prove different - all I can do is speak for myself here. Now contrast this with the less expensive A07 - in that when you change out and upgrade the Op Amps (i.e. Discrete versions), the sound improvements in that model can be remarkable. With conventional connections, this amp is priced too high for what it does sound-wise. The sound is rather 2D with little depth. It is a tad warmer sounding than most other class D amps, however, it's not a game changer - not by a long shot. In it's regular mode (RCA connection) and no OpAmp changes, it's not worth the $175 price - just being honest here.NOW ENTER THE BALANCED MODE:I then connected some of my components (those with balanced outputs) to the balanced inputs on the A300 using XLR cables. I also used a Direct Injection Box (DI box) to convert conventional RCA signals to fully balanced ones. In addition, I upgraded (changed out) the stock NE5532 Op Amps with the more expensive, usually awesome Sparkos Labs Dual Discrete Op Amp model SS3602 (the A300 takes 5 op amps, so it can get a little expensive if you really want to boost your audio capabilities). With the combination of the two - XLR balanced connections and the Op Amp upgrade - the sound now had improved to the point where I can now give it 4 - 4.5 stars. This A300 now now inched closer to sounding like a class AB amplifier - but it still has an overall bright signature with a cool tonality. It now showcased more depth, better instrumental placement, a more open and airier ambience around the instrumentation, a better musicality, and now improved some of the dynamics. Is it State of the Art, and does it come close to providing the warmth of a class AB amp? Absolutely not. In the end, regardless of what you do (balanced/unbalanced connections and Op Amp upgrades), you may inch a tad closer to that warmer class AB sound, but it will never compare directly. It's just the nature of the class D design.By the way, the SMSL DA-9 sounds superior to the A300, so check out that amplifier. So folks, this A300 has a dual personality. With conventional RCA connections (and no Op Amp changes), the A300 (overall) feels like a step-down from the much heralded (and far less expensive) Aiyima A07. However, with the balanced connection and the Op Amp upgrades, it provided a noticeable (but not necessarily, major) sound improvement over the stock version. Now keep in mind that all reviews are obviously subjective. All I could do here was to describe what I experienced, using the options I mentioned, with the gear I listed below. Your mileage may vary.Gear used to evaluate the A300::SPEAKERS: KEF models Q150 and Q350 bookshelf models, Wharfedale D320 bookshelf speakers, and a powered Mackie subwoofer under the desk.DAC's: Schiit Modi 3 with Nitsch Piety Head Amp/Preamp, Schiit Modi 3E with the Schiit Vali 2 tube Head Amp/Preamp, iFi ZenDAC Mk II, JDS Labs Atom DAC X with xDuoo MT-602 tube Head Amp/Preamp.CABLES (RCA, XLR, USB, Speaker): Audioquest, World's Best Cables, and Blue Jeans Cables.DIRECT INJECTION BOX (DI BOX) - Used to convert conventional RCA signals to fully balanced ones: Radial Engineering Trim II Passive DI Box (these DI boxes are invaluable to say the least): The link to this box on Amazon is:https://www.amazon.com/Radial-Trim-Two-2-channel-Passive-Direct/dp/B00VKSUGXM/ref=sr_1_2?crid=9WMSZW3AJIOG&keywords=Radial Engineering Trim II DI box&qid=1681247455&sprefix=radial engineering trim ii di box,aps,83&sr=8-2&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840
