TL;DR: Great quality clippers that feel good to hold and cut very cleanly that are made even better by the great company behind them who provide a lifetime replacement warranty and superb customer interaction.Part of what drew me to these clippers to begin with (beside getting sick of my years old convenience store clippers) was how consistently and confidently the company stood behind their product and worked to make each customer satisfied. Seeing the company respond to others who have had bad experiences, replacing their items hassle-free, and watching that customer often change their opinion on the product was particularly inspiring.As unimportant as it might seem to have good customer service from a company that makes nail clippers of all things, that quality shined out as a differentiating factor that puts Harperton products above the others. The other products might be built well and might save you a few dollars, but I prefer the lifetime replacement warranty and superb customer interaction that comes with these clippers hands down.On to the Klipits themselves, they will certainly make most any convenience store clippers pale in comparison. When I first held the Klipits, their weight and smooth finish was immediately noticeable. Cutting with them is dare I say enjoyable thanks to the ease of doing so, which comes in part from the sharpness of the blades but also from being able to make a clean cut with what feels like little force. The small nail file does its job well and I hope that it maintains its quality as much as the rest of the unit.As I said in an email to Harperton when asked about my feelings about the clippers, this sums it up well:"The Klipit kit has surely made a positive first impression. The edges line up well and make a clean cut with ease. They have a weight to them that effuse a feeling of durability and quality construction. I like how they come with a convenient storage bag. Quite succinctly, I love the fact that they do simple so well."The only thing I've noticed is a bit of the surface being sanded down to reveal a more shiny steel that occurs in some places, particularly where the lever makes contact when folded out (this is most evident in the picture of the Klipits with the logo facing up, it looks darker and more shiny below the logo). This kind of aesthetic wear should probably be expected around moving parts and areas of frequent contact, but they don't detract from the experience at all unless you spend more time looking at your clippers than you do actually clipping your nails.Which, lets be honest, might actually be okay with the Klipits.

I got tired of using cheap nail clippers that rust or break all while doing a poor job of cutting my nails, leaving a rough edge that snagged easily or making uneven cuts because the lever mechanism was so weak. I wanted something durable and effective, but also something substantial enough that I wouldn't misplace them right away. When I did an initial search on Amazon this pair caught my eye right away just because I liked how they look. Why not have something eye-pleasing and well-designed for such a small task? I can't say trimming my toenails is something I look forward to (I really, really hate the feeling of clipping toenails -- just born this way) and a lovely object helps to make it a little easier to manage. After reading so many positive reviews I decided to spring for this set.Do you remember when it used to be a lovely thing to buy a new product, because care was put into the packaging and customer service mattered? These days seems long ago and far away and I was reminded how far things have deteriorated when I received my clippers, because these are like products from days past. The packaging is eye-catching and pleasingly designed. The enclosed brochure, about use of the clippers, is smart, fun to read, and assumes the customer is intelligent -- in other words, these clippers have personality, and it's clear that the people who make them not only have personality too, but care about the quality of their product and the satisfaction of their customers. That fact alone is enough to make me a loyal fan.So you won't be surprised to know that they work like a dream. They are comfortable in my hand, the lever is strong and sturdy, and the cuts are clean and precise. The smaller size is still hefty enough to hold easily and the larger size is not so big as to be awkward. They come with their own slim, nicely-designed, waterproof carrying case (great for keeping them clean and dry) -- a nice touch, because I often seem to misplace clippers, and I really want to hold onto this pair.I'm a chef and have an appreciation for fine tools. They make a difference in both the quality of the final product and the satisfaction I feel doing it. I've invested in good knives, good pans, and other solid cooking equipment, and you can tell when you've bought something of quality and durability. I would have thought it a little unnecessary to regard clippers this way until I got this pair, but it's not at all a stretch -- they're designed to be lasting, pleasing, and effective -- and it shows. I highly recommend them!
